When I first looked at the site, I thought there was something wrong with my connection, because all that showed up on the site was a black background and the link "My boyfriend came back from the war. After dinner they left us alone." written in small white font. I was not expecting the graphics and all of the clicking necessary to navigate the site, and at first I got very disoriented. But despite its appearance, it was surprisingly user-friendly.

To be completely honest, my first impression was "Whoa, this is really random and kinda creepy..." But as I navigated through the site, I was very impressed with the author's creativity. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like her site before. I have no idea whether or not the story she conveys is true, or what may have motivated it if she did make it up, but that's part of the beauty of the site: it leaves so much room for interpretation, and yet it seems to be trying to convey so much.
