| Project Self Appreciation, Focus on You Event: *Before hand,. I will be sending home a notice will all information regarding this project, you must have consent from your parents to complete this activity. You are to create a slide show, about yourself, using one of the following applications: www.Rockyou.com or www.slide.com or www.photobucket.com which will then be posted on the class room website. The slide show is to be between two to four minutes long, and an estimate of 20-25 photographs. It can be anything from important people, places or things in your life. You may include pictures of your future goals, your role model, pictures of your interests and talents etc. These are all suggestions. Your goal is to promote yourself, and show others about you. You are special and you are unique, let us see who you are! Restrictions: Do not include full names, addresses, or phone number with in your slide show. Also no violence, profanity , nude or any sexual content within photographs. Any photograph within a slide show with inappropriate behavior will result in an automatic failure. Step 1. Gathering the Photographs for your slide show. You may also chose to photo edit your pictures to your liking. If you do not have access to a digital camera, you may sign out the classroom camera for the evening, then upload the photographs onto your laptop. * If you do not have access to one, please let one of us know as soon as possible so we can figure out solution. Step 2. Choosing the application to use. You will be asked to sign up with all three choices. You will have a class to play around with them. Step3. Creating your slide show. Don�t forget about song inserts, transitions, captions and text to enhance your slide show! You will have some class time to work on your project. Once you have completed your slide show, email it to me and after reviewing it, I will then post it up on the class room website! This is meant to be an fun activity, have fun with it, try different things and enjoy! |

Subject: Health/Technology /Bully Awareness Grade Level : Varies Objective: This Activity it to help empower the students and promote self appreciation, Students will have a chance to learn, understand and admire each other. (This is also to help with bullying .) They will also learn how to use different types of web 2.0 tools to create their slide shows, this involves using a digital camera, uploading photograph to their laptops, and internet, photo editing, and creation, critical thinking and focus them to use their creativity! Materials and Technology Required: Use of their laptops daily. Access to a digital camera. Or other options available, such as teachers can fundraise to purchase a one time use camera and have them developed onto a digital disk for the students. Access to the internet, and www.rockyou.com ; www.slide.com; and www.photobucket.com. Technology Environment: Each Student has their own lap top in the classroom. Introduction: Notices will be sent home will all information regarding this activity for parental consent. I will also hand out consent forms for other people the students want to include in their slide show. I will also go over and talk about the important of not including personal information on the internet. Instructions will also be posted on the classroom website. Teaching/Learning Sequence: Step 1. Gathering the Photographs for the slide show. The students may also chose to photo edit their photographs. This will take two weeks of classes to complete and will also be assignment to complete at home, if not completed within that time limit. Step 2. Choosing the application to use. Students will be asked to sign up with all three choices. I will give them one class to play around with them and make their choice. Step3. Creating the slide show. I will give them the following week to complete their slide shows. If it is not done by the end of the week, It must be completed over the weekend and emailed to me first thing Monday. Evaluation: Students will be evaluated on their participation and the detail and depth of their slideshow.
