Laws of the Church

1. 7 Laws of the Church
   - Consecrete Sundays and all the days of obligation
   - Receive Sacraments
   - Receive religious instructions
   - Keep the Church's law on marriage
   - Support the Church
   - Fast and keep abstinence on the obligated days
   - Participate in the missionary works of the church

2. Holidays of obligation in the United States
   - Mary, Mother of God -- January 1st
   - Ascension -- 40 days after Easter (on a Thursday)
   - The Assumption -- August 15th
   - All Saints Day -- November 1st
   - The Immaculate Conception -- December 8th
   - Christmas -- December 25th
   - All Sundays of the year (52 total)

3. Laws of Church on Fasting
   - What is a fast day?: A day in which only one meal is taken. The other two meals hould not together equall a full meal. (No snacks in between)
   - When are the fasting days?: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday
   - Who are obligated to fast?: A Catholic who is from the age of 18 til end of 59

4. Laws of the Church for Abstinence
   - What does abstinence mean?: Refraining from eating meat
   - When are abstinence days?: Ash Wednesday, all Friday of Lent and Good Friday
   - Who are obligated to keep abstinence?: A Catholic who is from the age of 14 and over
