Grace

1. Grace: is a supernatural gift that, through the merits of Jesus Christ, God freely bestows on human being in order to bring them to eternal life.

2. There are 2 kinds of grace
   a. Sanctifying Grace: is a supernatural quality that dwells in a human soul, by which a person shares in the divine nature, a friend of God, and be able to perform actions meriting eternal life.
   ** We lose sanctifying grace when we commit mortal sin
   ** We received this grace when we are Baptized.
   - Actual Grace: is a supernatural help from God by which he enlighten a person's mind and moves the will to do good and avoid evil from the sake of eternal life.
   ** We received the actual grace everyday.

3. The chief effect of Sanctifying Grace
   a. it makes us holy and please to God
   b. it makes us adopt children of God
   c. it makes us temples of the Holy Ghost
   d. it gives us the right to heaven

4. We can resist the grace of God, God give us free will and He does not force us to accept His Grace

5. The principal way of obtaining grace are Prayer and the Sacraments, especially theHoly Eucharist.
