  JEFFREY TEKIRIAN
June 20, 1960 - August 14, 1997
I met Jeffrey in an HIV support group in 1990 and we had seven great years together.  He taught me about decency and living life in the moment.  In the 2 years he was very sick, I never heard him complain.  He loved the "New York Yankees, the Beatles and me. I know he sits with the angels now..truly "Free as a  Bird".
  RORY PETTIGREW
1961-1998
Rory hated having his picture taken but his easy smile stays in my mind and his friendship is in my heart.  He was my rock after Jeffrey's death, but it would only be one short year later before he would be gone.  He was my movie companion, my best friend and like another brother to me.  Rest in peace, my friend....
  John "King Bee" Baron
1950 - 2000
Another innocent. Father, Musician, Best Friend.
Unfortunately, there are more friends I remember.  Sweet Mary, mother of two small children, who died 3 days before her 28th birthday. We were roommates in the hospital when I was sick and I never saw anyone fight harder.  "Skip" was a young man filled with many talents.  We directed 2 shows together and he was a talented artist, singer and dancer as well. He was generous in both heart and spirit. He lost his battle at the age of 23.  Then there was Bobby who struggled with many demons in his life but towards the end had found, for the first time, a sense of peace within himself.
I was honored to call them all my friends and they all added something unique and special to my life.  This page is but a small tribute to them and their brave fight.
