Marina at Lacon IL. Here is Austin cooking spam and eggs for breakfast one morning.  Nothing beats a hot breakfast to start the day, especially when your son is cooking for you!

Picture above is of the marina in Lacon IL. We travelled up river about 25 miles and spent the night here.  Had a really good time.

Picture to right is Justin, my oldest son at the tiller and Nicole my wife.  On the bow is my daughter Jessica with one of her friends.
This picture of our mast raising reminds of the flag raising at Iwo Jima.  You can see her new name on the bow.  This was the spring of 2003.  I have to admit the worst part of launching is the raising and lowering of the mast.  Glad it's only twice a year!!
Here is the transom of the boat.  Again you can see our new lettering.  With a fresh coat of paint and sporting her new red stripe and lettering, we were ready for the 2003 sailing season.
Looks like a passing in review.  This was taken in September of 2003.  Aboard you can see my sister Judy and my brother-in-law, Kenny.  The bungee flying is the flag from the  "Rheinland Pfalz"   region of Germany where Nicole was born.  This area is in the western part of Germany near the Luxenberg border.  She is from Trier, which is over 2000 years old and the oldest city in Germany.
Very windy day in this picture.  Jessica and I had taken her out in order for Nicole to get some pictures.  While it may not look like a lot of heeling in the picture, I can tell you it sure felt differant on the boat.  Jessica was in the cabin at this point and, well, looking at the picture I'm not sure where I am.  Brought her in shortly after this.  A little much for me to handle singlehanded.  But, I have to admit, I love this pic.!!
