�You have to come Brynn, its gonna be so much fun. Plus do you know how hard it was for me to get these tickets?�
It was early Wednesday night and Laura and Brynn sat in Brynn�s room. It had been a week and a half since Benji had stormed out of Brynn�s house.
�Yeah you had to find Clint�s number and have him get them for you�how hard,� Brynn said dryly. She didn�t even bother taking her eyes off of the AP Magazine in front of her.
Laura smiled. �Ah�the perks of knowing a band are good. They can always get tickets to shows you can�t.�
Brynn ripped half of a page out of the magazine and threw it on the floor beside her bed. Laura looked down and saw that it was a picture of Benji from an article about Good Charlotte.
�Hey! I haven�t read that article yet,� she said picking up the ripped page.
�Your not missing much.�
Laura walked over and sat on the bed next to Brynn.
�When are you gonna quit being an angsty emo kid and get over the Benji/Levi thing?�
�I�m not emo!� Brynn protested.
She had always hated being called emo. She was punk. She was more hardcore than the person who invented hardcore. At least that�s what she argued.
Laura grabbed a stack of c.d�s. from Brynn�s bedside table and scanned through them.
�Brynn, all you need is a Dashboard Confessional c.d. and you could make your own emo compilation.�
Brynn grabbed the stack of c.d.�s and held up Mest�s �Destination Unknown� album.
�This is not emo!�
�Yeah, but your probably only listening to �Opinions� which could be considered emo if it were slower and more whinier.� Brynn glared at Laura. �Look all I�m sayin is put the past behind you and get over it. Come to the concert with me. It�ll be fun. I promise!� Laura waved the tickets in front of Brynn�s face. �Come on�you can�t pass up New Found Glory. The Chad. 190 lbs. of pimp. Cyrus with no game.�
�Alright I�ll go, on 2 conditions. The first being that I�m leaving if he approaches me, the second being that if I do go you have to promise to never drag me to another Brakish show ever.�
�Deal,� Laura agreed. �Now get your ass up and get ready."
