"Sara," a voice yelled from a group of people approaching the club.
Sara turned around and saw Laura and a girl, which judging by her platinum and black streaked colored hair and build, was Brynn.
"Mind if we cut in line?"
"Not at all."
"I'm suprised your even standing out here with us common folk." Laura
joked.
"Benji has a stick up his ass this week. He somehow managed to screw things up with some girl he likes, so of course he's taking it out on everyone else. I'd much rather stand out here than suffer the wrath of Benji."
Laura and Sara shared a laugh.
"We haven't met. I'm Sara Madden." She said extending her hand to Brynn. "Benji and Joel of Good Charlotte are my brothers."
Brynn looked at Laura and raised her eyebrow. Laura looked away innocently. Brynn smiled and shook Sara's hand. "Brynn Matthews."
"Finally!" Laura motioned to the front of the line where people were being let in.
The three girls walked into the club and found a spot up front near the door leading to the back of the stage. They chatted with each other for a few minutes until Sara saw Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory stick his head out of the door.
"Gilbert!" she yelled to get his attention.
"Madden!" Chad motioned for her to come closer to the door. "Why aren't you backstage with us?"
"I'm here with friends," she pointed to over to Laura and Brynn.
Chad looked the girls over. "Hey the more the merrier."
After Laura and Brynn introduced themselves to Chad, the three followed him backstage. He lead them to the mainroom in the back where the guys from NFG were hangin out amoungst a handful of people, probably fans that had been hangin out all day, or friends.
When Benji and Paul walked in the room, Benji saw Brynn standing over by the food table talking with Jordan and Steve. The three were laughing and carrying on like they had known each other for years. It had only been a week since Benji walked out of her house, but to him it seemed like it had been much longer. Chad, who was standing with Laura on the opposite side of the room, noticed Benji and Paul and waved them over.
"Hey whats up dude." Paul greeted Chad.
"Not much."
"It looks like your in good company tonight," Paul continued.
Chad smiled. "Laura I'd like you to meet Paul Thomas and Benji Madden."
"Hello," she said to both men. "My friend Brynn and I are huge fans of your music." Laura winked at Benji. "She would love to meet you."
"And we would love to meet her too." Paul said licking his lips subconciously.
Chad laughed and patted Paul on the shoulder. "I'll introduce you to Laura's friend, but keep in mind you have a girlfriend."
Chad lead Paul and Benji across the room over to where Brynn was standing. He tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. Brynn turned to face the three men. The smile on her face disappeared as soon as she saw Benji.
"Brynn, I'd like you to meet Paul Thomas and Benji Madden." Chad introduced them.
Her smile reappeared as she shook Paul's hand. "Nice to meet you."
She looked over at Benji and her smiled fadded yet again, then she turned and continued her conversation with Steve and Jordan.
"I thought Laura said her friend was a fan," Paul said confused.
"Of the band...yes. Of Benji...no." Sara Madden joined Chad, Paul, and Benji in their conversation. They were now standing 5 or 6 feet away from where they had been introduced to Brynn. She put her arm around Paul waist pulling him into a sideways hug. "But we're hoping to change that."
"Oh, she's that Brynn" Paul finally realized.
"I'm confused," Chad informed them.
Sara smiled at Chad as she saw Laura walk up behind him.
"I'll clue you in," Laura said as she slipped her arms around his waist and pulled him way from the group.
Chad looked over his shoulder and smiled at her. The two then headed out the back door of the club.
Paul let out a heavy sigh as he watched Chad disappear with Laura. "Someone's gotta get a piece of ass tonight...how come its never me!" He shook his head and walked away dialing his girlfriends number on his cell phone.
"I thought you and Laura were suppose to be helping me out, not subjecting me to being ignored by Brynn." Benji took a quick glance over his shoulder at Brynn.
"Don't worry Benj, I just have to make a phone call to the bowling alley and have a little convo with Jordan then everything will be taken care of. Just make sure you meet up with me after the show and if anyone asks you to go somewhere with them tell them that you have late dinner plans with Joel and I." She intructed him.
