It was Saturday night, one week after Brynn met Levi. She was inside Identity helping the band her brother managed set up. It was still early, only 7:30 but there was already a sizeable line of people in front of the club waiting to get in.
�Is everything in?� A guy in his twenties said approaching Brynn. It was Bryce, her brother. He was tall, had blonde spiky hair, and a chiseled body.
�Yeah, I believe so� she said tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. �Theres a case of water by the stage door and I parked the van out behind the dumpster in back. I already gave Clint the keys.�
�Alright, thanks for you help.� He gave her a one armed hug.
Brynn walked out on the stage and grabbed her small black messenger bag. She wished all the guys good luck and headed out of the club using the back exit. When she opened the heavy steal door she noticed a guy sitting on the concrete smoking a cigarette.
�Looking for me?� she said with a twinge of excitement in her voice.
Levi turned to see Brynn standing behind him leaning against the opened door. She had half her hair pulled back in a clip with a few stray strands tucked behind her ears. She was wearing a sleeveless fitted t-shirt that was lime green and matching shorts that were green and yellow striped and thongs sandals on her feet.
�Actually I was looking for a girl named Brynn. She looks exactly like you, but she dresses a bit more�punk.�
�Shut up�
Brynn walked over and sat beside him. She slipped her messenger bag off and placed it next to her.
�Most guys usually don�t complain when I dress like this,� she informed him.
Benji handed her the rest of his lit cigarette and smiled. �Oh, I�m not complaining.�
�So what are you doing here�I know you weren�t really looking for me.�
�If I had known you were parading around dressed like that I would�ve been looking for you.� He said licking his lips after the statement.
Brynn rolled her eyes. �No, Seriously.�
�My sister dragged me here again. My brother was suppose to come, but his girlfriend showed up, so I got stuck with Sara.�
�They actually aren�t that bad.�
�Who isn�t?�
�Sinful, the band playing tonight.�
�I�m sure they aren�t,� he said dryly. �So what are you doing here dressed as you are? The last time I saw you, you looked like you stepped out of a NFG video, now you look like you stepped out of a Britney Spears video.�
�They are my pajama�s� she less than seriously shouted at him.
�I need to have a pajama party at her house� Levi thought to himself.
�And I was here helping Bryce, Clint and the guys set up.�
At the mention of Bryce and Clint�s names Levi realized that he was trying to get with a girl and he didn�t even know if she was single.
�Is one of them your boyfriend?�
�If they were do you think that I would be out here talking to you? Bryce is my older brother and Clint is my latest ex. He plays guitar for Sinful and Bryce is their manager.�
�Oh,� he said somewhat relieved. Levi jumped down to the pavement and stood up against the platform Brynn was still sitting on. He put his arms on either side of her legs. �That still doesn�t explain the outfit.�
�If I plead temporary insanity will you lay off the outfit?�
�Only if you promise to dress like that more often.�
�You say that like you�ll actually be around to see me dress like this again.�
�Oh I�d buy tickets to see that.�
�I bet you would.�
Levi smiled mischievously.
�I better get going. If my brother sees me out here talking to you he might freak. He�s very protective.� She said after a few minutes.
Brynn picked up her bag and put it over her shoulder. She looked at Levi to move so she could leave, but he just stood there.
�You can�t leave me here alone.� He whined and gave her puppy dog eyes.
�Do you like PS2?�
�I�m a guy, of course I like PS2.�
�Well, if you want we could go back to my place then. My parents are gone so we�ll have the house to ourselves.�
�Great,� Levi grabbed Brynn�s waist and helped her to the ground. �Wait�� he said as she pulled out her keys. �You live with your parents?�
Brynn laughed at Levi knowing what he was thinking.
�Relax Romeo,� she said patting his chest. �I�m 19 and I live with my parents because I�m in collage and very broke.�
Levi smiled and the two walked to her car.
