Summary:
In the year 1193 Before Christ, the prince Paris of Troy (Orlando Bloom) stole the beautiful Helen away from her husband Menelaus, the king of Sparta, setting the two nations at war with each other. The entire Greek armada advanced on Troy and begun a bloody seige that lasted over ten years, with the Greek forces led by Achillies (Brad Pitt), and the Trojan forces led by the prince Hector (Eric Bana).
Personal Opinion:
Man oh man... As if Heath Ledger wasn't enough of a treat for a co-star in Pirates... This cast is already shaping out very, very well. Brad Pitt is finally returning to film after a little personal hiatus, and according to a brief interview at the Golden Globes, filming should start on this within a few months. If you saw Black Hawk Down, you may recall Eric Bana playing the character "Hoot" Gibson, otherwise you can catch him this summer as The Hulk. More details as they become available.
