| Orlando's Character: Will Turner A pirate suffering a strange curse... |
| Directer by: Gore Verbinski Written by: Ted Elliot, Terry Rossio (screenplay) Summary: Caribbean Sea, 17th century. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), a gentleman rogue of a pirate, teams up with the daughter (Keira Knightley) of a Governor (Jonathan Pryce) to stop the evil plan of a ship of pirates, led by the Captain Barbossa (Geoffey Rush). The pirates are trying to reverse an ancient curse that leaves them stuck between life and death. If the light of the moon hits them, it reveals their skeletons... Personal Opinion: I'm sorry, was that supposed to be scary? Yeah, whatever. Just keep feeding me Orlando and I'll be fine. But I do fear for a lot of CG Skeletons and Orlando voiceovers. Once again, an amazing and handsome co-star, Johhny Depp. Orlando did rack up third billing for this movie, so his part should be substancial. Geoffrey Rush is gracing Disney with this performance (then again, he is in Finding Nemo) -- he's a genious of an actor, really. I highly recommed Quills, or look for him in Ned Kelly, once again playing opposite of Orlando. I don't recall Keira, except for some minor role in Episode I, and you may recognize Jonathan Pryce from one of my personal favorite movies, Stigmata, as Cardnial Daniel Houseman. I'm looking forward to his performance as well. More details to come... Release Dates: US - 9 July 2003 UK - 15 August 2003 Special Thanks imdb.com |
