PROCESS

CONSULTATION:
The process of creating a database begins by evaluating your information and how it will be processed by the database application.  The process might be easier if we meet in person, but it's not a must. It's possible to communicate completely by phone and email. You can also fax documents to me that I will need for designing the database they way you want. Once I have a clear understanding of what needs to be done, I will provide you with an official quote for your project.

DESIGN:
Your database will be built to your specifications. Once I have all the information I need about the type of records that will be recorded into the database, I will begin the design phase. First I'll create the tables for data storage. Next I will design the forms that will become the interface for data entry. Then I will work on designing the reports and charts you will need to view the records from your data input. I will consult you as I make progress to insure that you are satisfied with the design of your application. The forms I create are cleanly designed and easy to use. I like to include many helpful features that assist the user during data entry. I can incorporate graphics, images and build calculations into the database also.

PRODUCTION AND TESTING:
Once the design of the database has been established, I begin working on the coding, programming and testing of the database. Having examples of the type of data you will be using for the database will be very useful. I can use it to make sure field sizes are appropriate and will look good on any reports that are generated.

INSTALLATION, TRAINING AND SUPPORT:
When the application is finished, I can either send it to you by email, or I can install it personally if your office is in the Dallas area. The cost of the application includes training and I will be able to provide future support for upgrades if necessary. Once your database is installed and you are using it, I will continue to work with you for any adjustments that need to be made or if any bugs need to be fixed. And that type of work of course would not be billed.
