| Greetings, Maine-ly Medieval is owned and operated by Matthew Martsolf. In 2001, Mathew began making medieval garb for himself and, after a season, started creating unique clothing for many of his friends. Thus attired, they attended the King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA. The costumes looked great despite the rain. Soon after Matthew graduated from college and move with his lovely wife, Heidi, to the beautiful land of Maine. In 2005, Matthew met Sir John Atwell of the Neville Companye. Matthew joined the warband and created his own 15th century garb. In this groups, he is known as Mathius Fycher. It was through this group that Maine-ly Medieval was born. Matthew began making custom leather pouches to sell at events and faires. In 2006, Maine-ly Medieval went the The Shiretown faire, The Carriage Barn Knightly event and the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire. Matthew is also a member if Vinholm, a viking age reenactment group. In their company, he is know as Ulf Alfarrinson. This year Maine-ly Medieval will be at several faires all over New England. Visit our Events page for more details. |
