Narwen Deela (ND) :
Mr. Muhd Danny Lee, why
have you choose to fiercely propel the Lil' Dolphins forward,
especially in times like these when the economy is not yet stable.
CEO, Danny Lee (DL) :

My good friend, the economy is not yet
stable. That is the word, YET. I can see that in the not too distant
future that the economy WILL be stable. Besides, it is everyone's
dream to achieve what they have always wanted to. The same goes for
me, i will push hard to ensure that Lil' Dolphins would be a
recognised name in Singapore & Asia Pacific. When that happens in
the future, i could proudly say that i have succeeded.
ND :
You are confident. Don't you think that
you are too complacent to the bad times of our economy.
DL :
I am not
complacent, i mean i do not invest on something which i do not think
will succeed. Besides, i am still young and do not have the great
experience. That is where i am lacking compared to the rest,
experience.
ND :
That is for sure. At only
19, you are the youngest CEO to has ever lead a company. I heard that
you are still a student in one of our polytechnics. Is it true. How
can you be CEO when you are still a student then?
DL :
I believe that every
young mind is a talent. It is either discovered early or late. I do
not consider myself as a talent, i am just a beginner in the industry.
Regarding the issue of whether i am studying, yes I am.
Nowadays, everyone is a learner. I have a number of friends who are
adult learners. They are reputable people, but still they are
learning.
ND :
You have roped in Conscius Consultancy,
which is so far just beginning to expand itself into the Singapore
market. Why do you take such risk?
DL :
It is not a matter of risk, it
is just the simple fact that our country will always be stuck on a
knowledge-based-economy. Education at all levels is very important to
keep ourselves competitive. Even for myself, i have to be competitive.
So, that is where, Conscius Consultancy and its programmes
comes in. Mr. Teo, their representative is positive man, always
believing in everything that he do.
If you do not mind, i have
to go for my lecture you know...
ND :
Sure Sir, just one more thing, why are
you not using your real name?
DL :
Sometimes,
confidentiality is great for someone who does not want attention.
Thanks for the interview.
Thank you. (shakes my
hand.)
