Hi! Welcome to my website. I created this site for personal and business purpose, this is the second revision that I made with this site, finally, I have created a site that is more formal and presentable.
Well, let me introduce my self first, I am Melchor Ferrer, you can call me Mel if you like to, I was born on January 6, 1976. I am married and blessed with one child, a daughter actually, and I am currently working at Read-Rite Philippines, Incorporated at Carmelray Insdustrial Park, Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna. I been working with Read-Rite for 5 years and my current position is System Analyst/Programmer II, I was hired here as a Programmer to develop the company's Payroll System and through years of hard work I was promoted twice.

| Actually, when I was in my teens I'm fond of sketching and drawing, I once planned of taking-up Fine Arts in College but I later realizes that the course might not work out for me in the future. After high school graduation I've chosen to take up a Computer Science course. You might call it fate actually, because ever since I never think of taking up a course in the field of information technology, it's just happened that I've seen it in a school prospectus and I've chosen it by reason of curiosity. However, I later found it interesting and I enjoyed studying the course and I've discovered in my self an ability that I never known before. |
 After college graduation I worked as a programmer trainee in a small software firm called Formal Management System and I stayed there for only 6 months, because of low salary and it's only enough for my expenses I left the firm. Then, I become unemployed for a few months, because of my short experience in the field of Information technology and maybe because I'm not yet that competitive I was not able to get a job as a Programmer. Instead of being idle, I've chosen to apply for a lower position in our Municipal Hall as an Encoder, despite of low salary and no benefits, I accepted the job. I later resigned after 5 months of work because I was hired by another company, I again accepted a position as an Encoder but with higher salary and benefits, the company was Fashion Accessories Philippines, Inc. (FAPI). |
| While working I continued to look for a job as a programmer, after my contract ended at FAPI in December of 1997 I was hired by Read-Rite Philippines, Inc. as a Programmer. |
 Being at Read-Rite is a big break for me, I've achieve a position that I always want with a salary that is higher than what I've expected. After six months of hardwork as a programmer I was promoted to System Analyst/Programmer I and later on promoted to System Analyst/Programmer II. Through various trainings here and abroad like Thailand and Singapore and various projects that was assigned to me, I was able to advance my knowledge and Skills in the field of Information Technology especially in System Development, System Administration and Database Administration. |
 I've achieved my dream, and now I'm still carrying out another. Well, that's life is all about, we do not stop on fulfilling our needs as long as we live. Well, for me, this is just part of my goal to give my family a better future...so that's all for now, the story about my career will continue as long as there are goals to achieve and challenges to overcome on achieving that goal. |
