Third Grade
We are excited about a new school year. We have covered much curriculum to this point, but the work is continuing at a strong pace till End-of-Grade testing time.
We are working hard to make the transition in Third Grade as easy as possible for your child, while encouraging your child to enjoy the challenge and learn key competencies at the same time.
End-of-Grade testing continues to make this year a pivotal point in the academic lives of your children. Your child need to be proficient in both reading and math. Cursive, multiplication, and division are the new additions to their curriculum. Science and Social Studies will be taught in more depth also.
As a parent, your contributions greatly effect your child's education. Make sure he/she attends regularly, is punctual, has needed supplies, and is given support and encouragement to achieve to the best of his/her ability.
Each night, checked assignments need to be reviewed and assigned reading completed. Occasionally, there will be announced tests to prepare for.
We are having a good year and are enjoying working with your children. Thank you for your help and continue the good work.
