The Missoula County Sheriff's Cadet
program was established to give Missoula teens age 14 and a half
through 21 a chance to interact with Law Enforcement officers while at
the same time learning the basics of Law enforcement. The Cadet
group
meets almost every Monday from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. As well as the
meetings the Cadets work at YMCA teen dances every other Saturday to
monitor the kids behavior and to help out the YMCA employees as much as
possible. The Cadet group also helped during the fire season by
providing relief for the Missoula County Deputies to provide their
services elsewhere such as road blocks and evacuations.
