MOMS Club® of Norman-Southeast was formed on July 1st 2008. As the town of Norman has grown over the years, so has the MOMS Club! Norman started with one chapter, then two, and now we have three chapters in our community to serve the needs of our members. So although we are a new chapter, we have a lot of members who have been involved with MOMS Club® for many years. That just shows what a great organization MOMS Club® is! It also shows how committed our members are to keeping the chapters at a manageable number so that every mom feels involved and connected.
The goals of MOMS Club® are simple:

Provide a support group for stay-at-home and part-time working mothers

Provide a forum for topics of interest to our members
- Perform at least one service project a year to help children in our community
To learn more about us, please join us at our monthly business meeting. Each mom may attend two business meetings before deciding to join. Our monthly dues are $20/year and each mom must complete a liability release form and Code of Conduct form to join. History of MOMS Club
MOMS Club® began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club® was born.
The chapter she started was so successful she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world! There are now over 2,000 chapters in the U.S. alone with over 100,000 members!
