The 77th annual Collett and McKay picnic was held at the Collett and McKay picnic grounds near New Burlington at the usual time, the second Saturday in August.

The three 50-foot tables were moved under the young sugar trees which are now large enough for shade. That was the location years ago, for the serving of an abundance of good things to eat, before the large sugar trees were blown down.

Many of the guests lingered until sundown visiting, as no special program or business meeting is ever held in connection with this family gathering. Among the 235 guests who registered, those from out of the state were McKay Collett, New York City; Miss Nell McKay, Lake Wales, Fla.; and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Terrell, of Philadelphia, Pa.
