| 0. Wedding & Reception Attire | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Wedding and reception dress is semi-formal. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Are children invited? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Yes, children are welcome. If your child is of an age where it would be convenient to have someone to watch the child during the ceremony and/or the reception, we have found a baby sitting service that has been used reliably for many events at Seascape and is recommended. They can be contacted directly at: Cater Care - Erin Buchla 831-429-5530. Also, if you let us know you are using them we will let you know others who are also using some sitting services so that you can coordinate and get lower rates. If you need another recommendation, please let us know. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2. Can I bring my significant other? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Yes, partners are welcome. If we did not include your partner's name on your invitation, please let us know. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. Can I get there by train? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Flying or driving are by far the most convenient routes. Train options may take a few days, several connections, and will be quite expensive. If you do find an easy alternative means of transportation out here, please do let us know so we can pass it on. We have flown quite a bit recently, and there are more delays and overbooking problems, as well as longer lines but flying is still fairly painless. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4. Hotels are expensive--is there a cheaper place to stay? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pajaro Dunes is probably your best option for reasonable rates, particularly if you are staying longer than just Friday and Saturday night. Their weekday rates are much lower than their weekend rates. They have houses, townhouses, and condos, some of which can accomodate up to 12 people. If you want to try to join a group to get a better deal, let us know and we will try to match people up. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5. Why California? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| You'll see when you get here!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6. When are others coming? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We know of some coming Wed May 28 - Wed June 4 to stay and do some touring, and others just coming in for the couples shower-wedding to some just coming for the wedding. We are keeping track of what people tell us (and if it is ok to tell others who ask) so if you send us your details we will update our records. Information we are recording includes: name, arrival date, departure date, hotel, ok to tell other invitees logistics, and notes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7. Where are others staying? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| So far we know some staying around Palo Alto and San Jose if they are coming early, most staying in or around Aptos on the wedding weekend so far at Seascape and Seacliff, and some going down to Monterey afterwards. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 8. What is a couples shower and are men invited? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It is a chance to party together in a relaxed setting before the big day. The theme is the Great Barrier Reef Honeymoon so it will be a down under party and both genders (and children traveling with parents) are encouraged to attend. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
