Introduced in 1969, these powerful fish are a thrill you won't forget.  They show up in May, and run through February.  Various methods are used to catch these scrappy fighters.

A variety of coastal streams are fished  (weather conditions dictate when and where). Just give me a call and we'll make plans.

Mid-May through July. Early in the season we find the fish in deeper water along the dropoffs and channels.  This makes for a real fight.  Later in the season we find the fish cruising the shallows, looking for an easy meal and a place to spawn.  Ten or more fish can be seen at one time.  Hundred-fish days are not uncommon.  They are excellent eating, pan-fried for lunch.
