I have been an avid fisherman since I began to walk.  My mother and father both loved and respected the outdoors, and they taught mel early in my life to fish in the streams in northern California.  This prepared me for the rivers in Oregon.  Fishing the four corners of this beautiful state has been an exciting extension of my  education.

Since my first experience at the oars of a drift boat in 1975, I have spent many hours on the waters of Oregon rivers.  Some of my favorites are the McKenzie, Umqua, Siuslaw, Alsea and Lake Creek & Sixes.  I am the father of four boys who have had many adventures fishing with me.
I have had much experience teaching fly fishing and other methods of fishing.
