Kentucky is the leader in the nation when it comes to school bus safety.  We owe a lot to our school
bus drivers for their excellent safety record.

If you appreciate your child's bus driver, let them know on Wednesday the 22nd.

The Marshall County Transportation Department operates 50 buses, transporting approximately 3600
students to and from school daily.  This number includes specially equipped buses for Pre school and  special needs students.  Marshall County buses traveled a total of 681,238 miles during the
2002-2003 school year.  This figure represents all transportation, including Summer School, camps, and all activity  trips.

Cooperation and proper behavior is essential for the safety of all students riding buses.  Rules for riding the school bus are included in each student handbook.  Parents are encouraged to review those rules, along with the penalties for breaking  the rules, with their child and reinforce them at home.

Getting students to and from school safely is our objective.  The cooperation of parents and each student will always be helpful in this effort.
