Chapter 6
A loud fanfare announced the queen's arrival at the castle. Rather than ride into the courtyard in her carriage, the Queen exercised her freedom of choice and hopped out and ran to the castle on foot, her expensive skirts and robes dragging in the dirt.
"My Queen! You've arrived!" Chris was very happy to see her again. He smiled and stretched out his arms. She practically jumped into them, something that would under most circumstances never happen.
"I have a surprise too," Sabbrielle said to the king and smiled at the green and silver carriage as it rolled into the courtyard. Moony was grinning broadly as well.
The king's jaw dropped as a familiar face stepped out of the carriage. He was absolutely speechless. TRHG broke into a fit of giggles at the look on his face.
"It's just me," she said, giggling all the harder, "there's no need to stare," she added to the rest of the crowd of people who also had varied looks of astonishment.
"Perhaps we wouldn't stare had we not thought you gone forever," said Trisana stepping out from the crowd.
"Yes, well, I guess you can't trust me to stay away can you," she replied, still smiling, "I see some new faces among the crowd. Introductions were made to new members of the court and hugs were interchanged among the older members.
"Unfortunately, there are important matters to be discussed, Sabbrielle, Moony, Darwin, we should go. I'll leave you all to celebrate the arrivals. Chris added to everyone else.
The four walked out of the courtyard and the bustle continued. As TRHG looked around she noticed something.
"Where'd Erick go?" she thought aloud.
The crowd went uncomfortably quiet. Nora spoke up.
"Well, you see, that's kind of complicated..."
"Nora, what is it?"
"See, it's what they've gone off to discuss," Lindsay spoke up.
"Wha- what's wrong?" TRHG was confused and looked at the two.
"We're kind of in some trouble, some, um, bad trouble," Jeremy said.
And they explained.
