Chapter 5
"Make your preparations. Do anything you can. I will call the citizens, we will need everyone's help.� Erick walked through the kitchens picking up a spice here, a vegetable there, rice, seaweed, crab meat, and other various ingredients. He looked again at the door to the kitchens. Hermione19 had tried to stop his cooking earlier, so he locked up the door and no one was allowed in until the feast was complete.
The feast. Erick smiled thinking of all the foods he would serve. And all in celebration of the queen's return.
"Erick!" Hermione19 called from outside the kitchen, "Open this door! The king commands it!"
Erick blew a wet raspberry.
"That was uncalled for!"
Erick giggled and threw more paprika into the concoction he was making. He had a special serving set aside for the king which would turn him into an ostrich.
Erick walked over toward the oven where the exploding color cake was cooking, which would turn the entire room a rainbow of colors when it was cut.
He heard a sound in the next room.
"Yes?" he said, quickly rushing to the doorway to make sure it wasn't the Princess out to get his food. He looked into the room, which was filled with apples. There wasn't anyone there.
"Hello?" he called again into the room.
There was a screech, an impact on the back of his head, and all went black.
