Matthew Christopher Edwards was born on a cold winter night to Chris Edwards and Louise Sironi. He grew up in Hanover, MA where he was an only child (though his dashing older half-brother Tim lives across the Atlantic in jolly ol' England!). Matt skated for many years, and when he was older, played a mean tennis hand on the Hanover High team. Growing up, Matt had his favorite dog, a Dalmatian named Pudding, whose shedded hairs still haunt forgotten corners of the house.  Matt was involved with Student Council and National Honor Society, and loved reading, writing, and, of course, computers, and graduated in the top of his class.

At UMass Amherst, Matt received a bachelor of science in Computer Science, with a focus on game development and software programming. At UMass he learned kendo, and was a part of Hi-Score, a game development club. His hobbies include programming, video gaming, reading, playing the piano and guitar. He presently is working as a programmer at Helixe Games in Burlington, MA where he is creating video games. (Check out his latest game, Pixar's Cars for the Nintendo DS!)
Mary Eileen Blauss was born on a hot summer night to Don Blauss and Sue (Hanlon) Blauss. She grew up in East Bridgewater, MA and Carver, MA the oldest of many biological, adopted, and foster siblings - Tim, Corey, Julie, Jamie, Nikki and Joe make up the Blauss-y Bunch now! Mary played basketball, softball, and baseball. Mary had many animals, including her favorite dog, a black Lab named Angel, and through 4H had countless bunnies, chickens, ducks, cats, and fish along the way. Mary was Student Government president, National Honor Society president,  LitMagazine editor, and graduated as valedictorian of her class.

At Brown University, Mary received a double major in Cognitive Science, with a focus on neural development, and American Civilization, with a focus on material culture. At Brown Mary was an RA and involved in a new public humanities program there.  Her hobbies include playing the guitar, reading, photography, and studying genealogy. She is presently an archival assistant at the Brown Archives and attending graduate school at Northeastern University in Boston for her masters in public history.
We met through Hanson Community Theater during the play "Murder at the Art Auction". Mary had been involved with drama since she was small, and her uncle Wes Blauss directed many plays in which she acted. One of his former students, Jeff Sironi, invited his cousin Matt to come along.

As Matt and Mary rehearsed lines behind the scenes, their friendship grew from witty repartees and many shared interests. After the play ended, they kept in touch and Matt persuaded Mary to go on a few dates in the summer. Mary responded in true Blauss form by throwing water on him in the streets of Plymouth, beating him up at an Entrain concert, and tricking him into going on The Zipper at the Marshfield Fair (hmm, it seems he was trying to impress her that night, for he has never been seen on a roller coaster again...).

Matt then went off to UMass Amherst. They kept in touch through funny emails and calling cards (pre-cell phones!), and Matt officially asked Mary out - and she said yes! Come Thanksgiving he brought her a rose and they began dating. Mary went to Brown University in Providence, RI and they continued to date through college, visiting each other some weekends, with all the romance of dining halls and midterms, neon city lights in Providence and orchards and foliage in Amherst.

Then on New Years Eve of 2004, just before the ball dropped, Matt got down on one knee, told Mary how much he loved her, and asked her to be his wife.

After the wedding, we will be living in Billerica, MA.
