Lockheed LC-130
Nose Ski Down
This is the most vulnerable part of the "Ski" system.  The moment and loads developed on uneven or rough ski landing area's can oveload the nose ski.
Allison T-56-15 Turbo Prop
This engine can produce upwards of 4,000 Horse Power.  Highly reliable in the most extreme conditions make it a winner.
Hamilton Standard Prop
Since before WW II this name stands as the King of propellers.  I believe they now are called Hamilton Sundstrand.
The C-130 is Beautiful
If you don't see it, you've never been stuck in the middle of no where waiting for an airplane to get you the "Herk" out of there.
