ELECTION 2000

“How could Texas Governor George W. Bush possibly be the next President? I thought we had fixed the Florida election!”
That’s what I hear every time William Daley (of Chicago clean election fame) and the second-rate political “has been” Warren Christopher speak. These key Democrats intend to count ballots over and over until they are successful in making Al “the kiss” Gore President. How un-American can you get by stealing office? If you doubt their intent, remember all of the lies, false promises and complete distortion of facts they used during the actual campaign. Most of all, don’t forget the motor-mouthed Demagogues that continually harassed the hyphenated Americans and union workers until they agreed to vote for their candidate. Most of us realize the liberals won victories only through the use of states with huge metropolitan areas while virtually ignoring the rural areas. All you need to do to confirm this is to look at maps of the states they controlled.
It is my belief that if you add all the homeless, the hangers-on, welfare recipients, etc., in America’s largest cities, plus the uneducated and those who want handout after handout, their numbers actually control the rest of us. They have every right to vote, and they should, but the popular vote or the Electoral College system leaves many of us in today’s society “out in the cold.” Now the liberals want to subvert the Constitution by eliminating the Electoral College! Even “saint” Hillary supports the change because she can use the same tactics in her next bid for public office (maybe dog catcher?!) In the last few days we have degenerated into “Third World” status (except no bloodshed – yet).
I would therefore suggest a system that allows each and every county (or parish) to stand alone in elections for all national offices. Each and every county, based on election results, would have one vote to determine the final winner in each state. In cases of ties, the state governor would cast the deciding vote. The single vote from each state would be tallied to name the winner, or the total number of counties in the nation could be used. Ties in the latter system, although unlikely, would be broken in the Congress.
I hope those who voted for Al Gore and Joe Lieberman can face themselves in the mirror and not be thoroughly disgusted with what they are putting the rest of us through.
