SAD EYES

She looked at me so sadly,
as her friend drove  away.
And I felt so sorry for her,
I wished for the end of the day.

Once again, those eyes
When a boy broke her heart.
She cried on my shoulder;
Not wanting to part.

Then my sad eyes;
I had to let her go.
No longer my little girl.
The years hadn't gone by slow.

The last time she is by my bed;
Whispering replies.
Tells me,"I will miss you."
I tell her,"No sad eyes."

MEMORIES CHANGE

It's been so long since I last saw you.
How much have you changed?
Please do not look at me,
For I am not the same.

I'm a different person than yesterday;
You won't accept me now.
I just couldn't hang onto the past-
I wanted things to change.

But if you've always liked me
for who I chose to be-
a person of valiance and morality-
You will still accept me as I am.

Ah, you are after all,
a good friend of mine
Please keep on remembering the memory of me,
Hold it close to your heart.

NOT MUCH OF A PROMISE

If I had the time, I'd spend it with you.
If I had the money, I'd spend it on you.
but I can't love you like she does.
