DISTANT

What's this tune
That just popped into my head?
Sounds so familiar;
Like something he said.

Like a theme of the past,
I can't make it subside.
A movie of a memory plays.
Guilty, I want to hide.

I'm taken back
To when I let him go.
Why wouldn't I see it?
Why didn't I know

How much he meant to me?
I didn't try to stop him.
He was so sad,
But he wouldn't turn back;dim.

It becomes dark then,
And I begin to cry.
It was all my fault;
I didn't go after him, why?

Only now looking back
Is it a little clear.
I actually loved him.
Now, he'll never be again near.

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO ME

I wanted to tell you
What I think about you.
So I wrote a poem
Of things I wish you knew.

It is kind of hard for me
To express how I feel.
But this is what I got,
So you know my feelings are real.

You're smart,
And much stronger than I.
You're a wonderful listener;
Adorable when you say good-bye!

You definitely have romantic taste
With the sweet things you say.
You're so kind to me;
You surprise me each day.

When I'm having a bad day
The knowledge you're thinking of me,
And miss me in the same way
Makes my day bright instantly.

How much light you bring into my life?
I can't begin to say.
How to express how special you are to me?
I know no possible way.
