I FORGOT TO TELL YOU

The first time I saw you,
I thought to myself,
Don't bother with him-
He's not like yourself.

So I disregarded you from day one.
Never gave you a second thought,
What wrong had you done?

As time passed on,
You faded from my mind.
I only saw what I wanted to
And I saw you as unkind.

Slowly though,
I saw in you,
Something new,
That came in view.

A softer side,
With kindness and caring.
The previous image of you
I began tearing.

Then, I saw in your eyes,
A friendship that never dies.

But it all came too late,
I am afraid,
For I am gone,
Almost passed away.

I've never forgotten you,
But I know I'm fading from your mind,
So I ask you to just
Remember this thought of the kind

Of things you'd say to me
To start us off anew.
And I'll tell you I'm sorry for
The things I forgot to tell you.

YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH ME

When it seems the journey's at an end,
And I feel I have not a friend,
You are always with me.

When I try to laugh at life problem's
But tears come and the light dims,
You are always with me.

When I don't see good in myself
And am angry 'cause I don't have wealth,
You are always with me.

When at the end of the day,
I feel I've fallen away,
You are always with me.

When it seems hard to smile,
Especially when you haven't in a while,
You are always with me.

When you ask me if I want you to go,
I smile at you and say,"You know,
I'll always want you with me."

YOU NEED TO KNOW

When the wind blows,

I feel you.
When the rain comes,
I miss you.

And when I feel I can't do
Anything right,
I call on you,
My guardian light.

You're my strength,
You get me through the day.
But when I try to tell you,
I don't know what to say.

My feelings are so strong,
To express with a little phrase.
Everyone tries to tell me
It's just a phase.

But I think of you only;
There's no one else.
Please hear me out,
Before this feeling melts.
