WINDOWS

Lying in his bed,
You can see he's feeling alone.
He thinks to himself,
"I need to hold her."

Locked in,
He can't reach her.
So he looks out his window
Knowing that's all he has.

He looks through a pile of pictures,
But there's none of her and he forgets her face.
But not hopeless,
His heart beats for her.

Then the door opens,
And she's standing there.
She embraces him,
And he's free from his bondage.

LEAVE THE DOOR CLOSED

They always want to try new stuff.
And I like it the way it is.
I envy those whose lives never change;
I'd love to just stay still.

Pushed and pushed, I give up fighting
And I'm dragged along for the ride.
But deep inside, I'll try to hide,
All my feelings of hope and desperation.

I hate looking back
Upon those painful memories.
But my life is full of people
Who won't let go of the past.

So, although I forget the pain
I beg you from my soul,
Leave the door closed,
Stay here and walk away no more.
