Life Of A Seedpod by ChrisMac
As you may have just found out from LIFE OF AN INFLO , a seed pod occasionally forms where a bundle of flowers once was. There has been many conversations on how to make a seed pod form. 1. A seed pod can appear which will grow for many months (like 5-8) before it is ready to open 2. The inflo will fall off and the plant will branch. It will often start branching before it actually falls off.
Here is an Aztec Gold. The inflo is hanging to the right with a seed pod dangling off it. I started documenting this seed pod in October. It was green and hard

Here is the seedpod. It turned very dark and started shriveling lke a rotton banana. Then I noticed the crease along the edge. This is the seedpod letting you know it is ripe and ready to collect the seeds.
When you pull the sides apart, there is a fleshy substance over the seeds. Like an insulation. Pull that off and you will see all your lovely seeds lined up as you see to the right.
Take the seeds out and let them dry off on a paper towel. I left these on the stove for a few days so they wouldn't mildew
