BIOGRAPHY
Formed in March 2001 Mayday is a punk band from Milton Keynes in the UK. We have drawn influences from all all sorts.. pop punk, hardcore, emo, ska bands.. etc to create a bit of a unique sound.. a kind of clean hardcore pop punk, with odd dark bits!
Since then we have had three recording sessions at Premier Studios, Corby with the legend.. Mr Wetherall! We have played lotsa gigs.. mostly round Milton Keynes but also the odd road trip to places such as Coventry, Hemel Hempstead etc..
Up until end of Febuary / March the band was called LibertyX, but due to a number of reasons the name was changed to Mayday.
We are due to appear on a number of upcoming compilations with some very good bands.. more information on that soon! We are also gaining a little interest from some labels, so we hope to release something soon.. If you run a label or know of someone who could help us give us an email on [email protected]!
