Yaxcopoil-Uxmal

Yaxcopoil is a beautiful sisal farm (a henequén hacienda) founded in the 17th century, today it is a museum of furniture, kitchen utensils, and daily life in that century.

yaxcopoil's main house, dinning room, garden, livinroom, machinery room, store room, chapel and the double arch of morish style, are good examples of the Frech style architectural influence foundall over the península.

Uxmal is 30 miles away from Yaxcopoil. Uxmal is one of the most important archeological site of the Yucatán Península , as well good example of the mayan culture splendour. The visitor will be able to see from the farawery the magnificient Temple of the wizard, the Quadrangle of the nuns and the Governors's Palace, an impressive sample of the incredible mayan culture.
