How He Proposed:
On February 3, 2001 Jason proposed. Amber was finishing running some errands, and Jason walked into the store wearing a suit and tie where she was shopping. While this may seem like a strange wat to begin an engagement story, Amber didn't think too much of it. Jason had this way of making her feel special when he dressed up for no particular reason at all. So, there they were. Walking hand in hand back out to the car, and after Jason opened the car door, there in the passenger seat sat a stuffed plush of 'Happy' from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Jason said there was something else for her that was in the trunk of the car, but he wanted her to get it somewhere besides a parking lot. It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday in February, and so they drove out to the park across from the college where Jason currently attends, and where Amber graduated from just 10 months before. They had spent many beautiful days such as this just walking and enjoying God's creation. Jason parked the car and said the items in the trunk may have shifted a bit while driving. He walked to the back and made sure everything was as he wanted it, and then came and escorted Amber to the back of the car. In the trunk sat a bouquet of irises and tulips (her favorite), two boxes of chocolates, and a small golden wrapped box. Amber unwrapped the box and opened it to reveal a diamond ring. As tears swept to her eyes, and as she was realizing what was happening, Jason took the ring, got down on one knee, placed the ring on her finger, and asked her to marry him. Amber happily accepted.
