MWF Television and Tag Team Champion: Rick "Acid" Jones
w/Amanda
versus
"Troy Boy" Troy Knight w/The Bobster
MWF Television Title Match
Referee: Grant August
Peter Santos: The following contest is scheduled for one fall,
and is for the MWF Television Championship!
["Comeback" by Foo Fighters hits the PA system and the crowd
explode in jeers as the MWF President walks out. He smiles smugly and
then raises a mike to his lips.]
Walker: I have a quick announcement for you
ladies and gentlemen, I've decided that this match....well it won't
be for the MWF TV Championship, after Troy's little escapade
backstage and in my office then I've decided he isn't worthy of a
title shot. Rick will just have to kick his ass anyway.
[Walker throws the mike down and walks off.]
JP: I can't wait to see this match get under
way, Sully. People like Rick Jones and Troy Knight are the future of
this company. I may not agree with their methods, but both men have
feelings. Both men can love. I can't believe Walker's changed the
match though, protecting his boys.
Sully: Well that's true. TV Champion Rick
Jones has Amanda and contender Troy Knight has The Bobster and young
Myles.
["Larger Than Life" by the Backstreet Boys fills the arena with a
cliché-like buzz. Screams from the female section of the
audience are directed towards Troy Knight and young son Bobby as they
head towards the ring side-by-side. Troy struts his stuff as he
reaches the ring apron.]
Peter Santos: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois,
weighing in at 220 pounds and accompanied by his son The Bobster
"TroyBoy" Troy Knight!
[Troy heaves young Bobby onto the apron and then follows with a
swift leap. The father-and-son team slip through the ropes and meet
in the ring. Bobby leads Troy into the corner for a motivational
speech, as "Straight Out Of Line" by Godsmack hits the PA system.]
JP: For a child of 8, Bobby sure has some
brains.
Sully: Nah! It's just plain common
sense.
JP: Here comes the champion.
[Amanda paces onto the ramp followed shortly by husband Rick
Jones, who dons the TV title round his waist. He stares into the ring
as Amanda ushers him down the ramp. The crowd jeer as he raises his
arms into the air and nods.]
Peter Santos: And the opponent, from Montreal, Quebec, weighing
in at 220 pounds and accompanied by his son Amanda The MWF
Television Champion Rick "Acid" Jones!
JP: Rick Jones sure has a lot of
self-respect.
Sully: That's a great thing, you
know?
JP: Too much self-respect can lead to a big
ego.
Sully: That's a great thing too!
[Jones picks up speed and slides into the ring. He whips the title
from his waist and holds it high for all to see, as Amanda enters and
parades around "Acid." Troy helps Bobby from the ring and then turns
his attention to Rick, who is currently embraced by Amanda. Amanda
takes the TV Title from Jones and exits the ring. She directs a smile
towards Bobby, who winks back. Back in the ring, the bell chimes and
Rick Jones goes fist first at Troy. He lands a solid punch to the jaw
and pushes TroyBoy into the corner. "Acid" lands several boots to the
gut before Knight reverses with a swift leg sweep and a sleeper
hold.]
Sully: Troy is fighting technical, which is
probably the soundest way to wrestle in a title match.
JP: There's a lot of insurance behind
technical wrestling. If you don't finish the opponent with the
trademark, there's always a chance they'll go down to a submission.
You've just gotta concentrate on a limb!
Sully: That made sense in a very confusing
type of way!
[Jones fights off the sleeper hold with an elbow to TroyBoy's gut
and a belly-to-belly suplex into the centre of the ring. "Acid"
follows up with a quick elbow drop and a low dropkick as Troy fights
to his feet. He rolls Troy Knight into a small package and holds
still as Grant August drops to his knees. 12kick out.]
JP: Rick Jones is being hasty.
Sully: Or maybe just wearing Troy Knight
down?
JP: Good point. Pins are always a
spirit-breaker.
[TroyBoy jumps to his feet and hits the ropes as Jones stands up
and prepares himself. Troy comes back at "Acid" with a spinning heel
kick, but Jones ducks and throws a clothesline as Troy lands on his
feet. Troy avoids the forearm and hits a spinning kick to the chest
that downs "Acid" Jones to the mat. TroyBoy ascends the top rope and
awaits Jones to stand. On the outside, The Bobster calls for a
dropkick from his father. Who nods and readies himself. Amanda,
meanwhile, shouts words of encouragement to her husband. As Jones
stands he takes a missile dropkick to the chest that forces him into
the corner of the squared circle. Troy, in the centre of the ring,
stands and takes a breather. He surveys Rick Jones, who holds his
chest.]
Sully: Poor Rick just took a spinning kick
and a missile dropkick &endash; too big kicks &endash; to the
chest!
JP: I think it's knocked the wind out of
him, Sully.
[Troy runs to the corner, but Jones escapes under the rope and out
of the ring. Amanda rushes over and embraces her husband with a
chest-healing hand. Young Bobby storms over to the husband-and-wife
and waves his finger in an irate manner. Jones, however, mocks Bobby
before rolling back into the ring and spearing Troy straight to the
ground! A flurry punches ensue as Knight and Jones roll across the
ring, fisting each other in the face, neck and gut.]
Sully: If this weren't in a wrestling ring,
you might mistake it for something else, JP!
JP: I don't know what you're implying,
Sully, but I don't like the sound of any of it!
[Both men scramble upwards and meet with a collar-and-elbow tie
up. Troy sweeps behind Jones, only to have Jones to the same. Gripped
tightly to Knight's waist, Jones hits a German suplex followed by
another, and then a third, this time with a bridge! 12shoulder up!
Troy makes the mistake of standing straight back up. He combs his
hand through his blonde hair and strafes across the ring, landing on
the ropes. Jones doubles over and changes at Troy, throwing a forearm
at his head and sending him to the outside over the top rope.]
Sully: Jones in the driver's seat, and he's
heading straight down victory road!
[Bobby meets Troy on the outside and consoles his father. Troy
stands and shakes off his drowsiness. He slides back into the ring
after Bobby gives a few magic words. Jones throws a stomp as Troy
gets to his knees, but Knight grabs the foot and takes "Acid" down
with a dragon screw. In an instant, Troy ascends the top rope and
signals for the Rump Thump. Cheers and jeers echo through the arena
as the TroyBoy leaps backwards and connects with "Acid" Jones' fist!
Jones curls up his fist and drives it into TroyBoy's crotch as he
drops to the canvas. Jones goes for the cover but Troy wriggles
uncontrollably, and The Bobster winces on the outside.]
Sully: The pain! There's nothing worse than
being hit in the nuts!
[Jones clouts TroyBoy over the head, and then rolls him up in a
school boy pin. 12 kick out! Troy springs to his feet, holding his
nether region. Jones follows and takes Troy down with an inverted
DDT.]
Sully: The top rope, Jones, the top
rope!
[Amanda casts her arm towards the turnbuckle and Rick heads in its
direction. He climbs to the top rope and without hesitation makes an
astounding leap into the air "Acid" comes down with the Acid Drop
but TroyBoy rolls from harms way! He stands, spins and shoots his
foot into Rick Jone's jaw, who barely makes it to his feet after the
headbutt. Jones rolls onto his back as Troy hooks the leg. 123!]
JP: We have a winner! Our TV Champion is
but, but wait what's this!?
[The crowd cheer. "Kidman" is chanted in unison as Kidd Kidman
charges down the entrance way with a steel chair held high in the
air. Troyboy scrambles to his feet cheering but soon spots Kidd
Kidman. Bobby is about to enter when Kidman rushes the ring with his
chair and decks Troy with the steel.]
JP: Oooo!
Sully: Harsh! Very harsh. Kidd Kidman just
knocked out Troy Knight in front of Troy Knight's flesh and blood.
His own son!
JP: It doesn't look as if Kidman cares! He's
already targeting Rick Jones!
[Jones pulls himself up with the aid of the ropes but is sent over
the top with a firm shot from the chair. Amanda clinches her man and
scowls as Kidman takes in the cheers from the crowd. An angry Bobster
literally climbs into the ring to aid his father, who grimaces and
holds his head. Kidman makes his exit through the crowd and the
cheers die down as attention is back on Troy Knight and Rick Jones.]
Peter Santos: The winner of the match Troy Knight!
[Hart Evans comes running down, Rick Jones is holding his head as
Amanda shouts at Troy Boy and gets a load of abuse right back at her
from the mouth of The Bobster...she looks shocked as Bobby calls her
a 'GOB'...Troy Knight attempts to cover his young son's mouth. Hart
Evan's slides into the ring, dragging Amanda and Rick Jones with him,
the "Canadian Connection" all stands infront of Troy Knight and the
livid Bobby.]
JP: Look at the kid, he's furious with the
"Connection", he keeps calling them 'GOBS!'.
Sully: Someone should shut that kid up, he's
a disgrace to the Knighthood.
JP: I think he's kind of funny
really.
[Evans calls for a mike and Peter Santos obliges as the MWF Tag
Team Champion looks hard at Troy Knight before speaking.]
Evans: Troy Knight, tonight you have managed
to do something that not many have ever done before you.....
[Knight has grabbed a mike and the fans roar as Troy Boy speaks.]
Troy Boy: Yeah and what was that?
Evans: You actually managed to make us look
bad.
Troy Boy: You're a GOB what do you
expect?
Evans: I don't have a clue what you're going
on about.
Troy Boy: GOB, stands for Good Old
Boy's....that's what you two are, you kiss enough ass and keep that
gold around your waist. But you know, I don't care, you can keep your
gold and reputations because I'll just destroy your pride by beating
you every single time you step into the ring with me.
Evans: You really know how to piss people
off don't you Troy?
Troy Boy: They should give me an award for
it, I could piss your dead mother off if I tried hard enough.
Evans: How about I close that gob of yours
for you?
Bobster: Go ahead and try, Mr.Ass-cid's
friend.
Evans: Would you please have that thing put
down.
[The crowd suddenly roar as The Bobster runs forward and kicks
Hart Evans in the groinal area, the MWF Tag Team Champion groans as
Bobby leaps onto his face and begins to pull his hair, Evan's
screaming as Bobby bites "The Headliner's" arm. Troy Boy runs forward
and grabs Bobby, pulling him away from the fallen Hart Evans."The
Headliner" gets up and his face red with anger, he reaches and grabs
Troy Knight....Troy is hit with an elbow strike and before he knows
it he's down on the mat on the wrong end of The Headliner. Hart Evans
smirks and Rick Jones stands beside him as they stand over Troy Boy.]
Sully: Haha, that shut him up!
JP: It's terrible, they can't be doing
that....it's a disgrace.
Sully: No disgrace to them, just to Troy
Knight and his fight against the 'GOBS'....or whatever it was he was
calling them.
JP: Troy is simply making a very valid
point, some members of the MWF have been slacking off and Troy is
simply like an appraisal time, he's going round every MWF member and
seeing which ones deserve to be here.
Sully: Isn't that the job of Ed and
Fozz?
JP: Maybe so, but Troy doesn't like the way
things are done in the MWF so he has taken it upon himself!
Sully: He's a brave man but he still has to
try and take on the whole "Connection" by himself, he needs some
help...and I mean proper help, not an eight year old child.
JP: Hart Evans got beaten up by an eight
year old, brilliant, absolutly brilliant.
Sully: I hope the next match brings some
better wrestling....
JP: It should do just that, it isn't the
Main Event for nothing!
Sully: Oh, we're going backstage....
[The camera cuts backstage to the office of the MWF General
Manager, he sits there, head in hands....The Jeopardizer standing
infront of him, there is a knock at the door and Anarkist walks in.
The Jeopardizer turns and with a big smile on his face greets
Anarkist.]
The Jeopardizer: 'Kist! How are you man,
glad you made it...
Anarkist: Had some really bad traffic
problems, it's chaos out there...the MWF's got so popular I can't
even get here on time.
The Jeopardizer: I know what it's like, you
walk down the street and all these people bugging you for autographs
and asking you to take photo's with their second cousins.
Anarkist: It's good in a way, but gets to
you after a while, don't suppose you have the same sort of attention
do you, Fozzy?
Fozzy: Not usually, the odd fan.
The Jeopardizer: He's lying, he gets all the
old men after him.
[The three men laugh, The Jeopardizer slaps Anarkist on the back.]
The Jeopardizer: You ready to do the job
tonight man?
Anarkist: I'll do my job and you do
yours.
The Jeopardizer: As always, you know I would
never dream of letting you down, especially as we're working so well
together.
Anarkist: Yeah.
Fozzy: I've been thinking, you two should be
heading up the tag team division a bit more....Evans and Jones, they
need a real challenge.
The Jeopardizer: You know what to do
Fozzy.
Anarkist: Yeah, you know exactly what to do
don't you Fozzy.
[Anarkist shoots the General Manager a look that makes Fozzy turns
slightly green....Anarkist sits down on a chair.]
Anarkist: So what do we know about our
opponents tonight?
The Jeopardizer: Fozzy should have some
information on them...but I tell you know 'Kist, this ain't going to
be easy.
Anarkist: It shouldn't be too hard, you've
got me on your side after all.
[The Jeopardizer laughs.]
Anarkist: What's funny?
The Jeopardizer: Nah, just I can't believe
how lucky I am to have a guy like you to watch my back.
[Anarkist half smiles, then looks at the MWF Xtreme Title.]
Anarkist: You almost lost that belt....these
guys mean business.
The Jeopardizer: I know, I know. That's why
I said it will be difficult.
Fozzy: If you use the tactics that I
explained last night then you should push them aside and march to
glory....they are cocky, play on that, let them think they're winning
and then strike when they least expect it.
Anarkist: Sounds like a good plan....what do
we do if it doesn't work?
Fozzy: It will work.
Anarkist: But what if it doesn't? I mean,
twice at Vacation your plan failed.
Fozzy: That was different, I've put a lot of
research into this and I know that we will be fine.
Anarkist: I hope so, I really do.
[Anarkist gets up and heads to the door, The Jeopardizer
follows....Fozzy shuffles some papers and then follows both men as
they leave the room.]
JP: They're going to be hard to stop
tonight....they're doing business, they have business with Walker
tonight and they will settle their business in the best way
possible.
Sully: Yeah they'll get savagely beaten by
the newest MWF tag team, Walker's picked two of the IWA's best to
bring to the MWF.
JP: I doubt they'll be good enough, but I
guess we shall see.
Sully: Well the "WMD" aren't exactly going
to be working together, it wouldn't surprise me if they destroyed
each other right here on Monday Night Dynamite.
JP: It would be a sad night if the "WMD" was
to come to such a quick end, The Jeopardizer and Anarkist could have
been great tag team champions.
Sully: But we all know that The Jeopardizer
and Anarkist have major differences, especially Anarkist, he is
really changing.
JP: For better or worse?
Sully: I think it is for the better, he's
more confident and reminds me of the strong man who won the MWF World
Championship....at the moment he's just Fozzy's puppy.
JP: The Jeopardizer has really excelled
under the "WMD", he's moved up the rankings and also made the longest
MWF Xtreme Title reign possible.
Sully: That's the MWF Xtreme Title though,
it's nothing compared to the MWF World Championship.
JP: Well "Jay-Z" will have his work cut out
next week because he'll be facing, hang on a minute, Ferno and
Fredricks finished in a draw.
Sully: Yeah it did.
JP: So who will The Jeopardizer face?
Sully: Hopefully Fredricks, he is the better
wrestler....but they'll probably let Ferno have a go, they should
give NomaD another chance after that incredible performance earlier,
he came so close to taking the belt from the grasp of The
Jeopardizer.
JP: I wonder how much longer The Jeopardizer
will be able to keep it up, Anarkist will have one hell of a match
next week....he's taking on Hart Evans in a rematch of the Vacation
semi-final, barbed wire baseball bat cage match will be the Main
Event next week on Dynamite.
Sully: So Evans can prove just how great he
is compared to Anarkist.
JP: Sam King awaits the winner in a flaming
table match on August 11th....you won't want to miss that one.
Sully: Definitely not, Sam King can keep
hold of his MWF World Championship and go on to prove why he will be
the greatest MWF World Champion.
JP: Except for Ross Allen, no one can
replace Allen.
Sully: Maybe not, but perhaps these two
former IWA wrestlers will in the future be top stars in the MWF....I
can see it happening.
