[As the show comes back from a commercial break, Divine
Intervention's music is drumming away, as the members march their way
down the ramp, Sean Harley included.]
JP: Oh good God. What does he want?
Sully: What do you mean? That's the Divine
Intervention, JP! Led by the General Manager, your boss, of the
MWF!
[They all make their way into the ring from separate sides, and,
after Andy Shalhoub fetches a microphone for the General Manager, the
music would fade away and would make way for Dom Stoate speaking,
looking less than happy or satisfied. The fans would chant against
him, but apparently, he would not be in the mood for any of it,
speaking straight away.]
Dom Stoate: Well. Tonight is the 50th
anniversary for Monday Night Dynamite.
[This brings about a healthy applause from the audience and the
members of Divine Intervention nod, Sozzey and Mak looking imposing,
arms folded, chins raised.]
Dom Stoate: So, as a General Manager,
perhaps I'm expected to make the night memorable. Perhaps it is my
duty to make things special. Well, to be completely honest with you
folks, I don't see why I should. I mean, to me, this isn't really the
50th anniversary of Dynamite. After all, Dynamite was very, very
little before I got to come here and make my personal changes. So
perhaps we shouldn't be celebrating the 50th Dynamite because of the
fact that, quite frankly, before me, the show wasn't anything
special.
JP: How arrogant! The show was better
without him in my opinion!
Sully: There you go again, running your
mouth off and saying things that don't need to be said!
JP: It's my personal view. I'm allowed to
have one, thank you very much.
[Stoate would strut about the ring a little bit, looking a little
bit smug about his boasts before raising the microphone again and
speaking again.]
Stoate: I came to Dynamite, and I made
everything a damn sight better for everybody. I made things fair and
law and order was preserved because of my presence. I gave everybody
an opportunity.
JP: This is absolute bull.
Sully: Quiet!
Stoate: But unfortunately Some people did
not make full use of their opportunities Unfortunately, some people
did not give me the respect I deserved for what I gave them, and they
messed up. Unfortunately, my generosity was often wasted.
JP: Who's he referring to now?
[Stoate at this point, as turned around and now he's facing the
rest of Divine Intervention. He pauses with his speech, looking
across the ring towards Sean Harley as he speaks.]
Stoate: And unfortunately, golden
opportunities were squandered.
[Stoate now makes his way towards Sean Harley, the microphone
still to his lips as he speaks.]
Stoate: Sean. I gave you a shot at the World
Title last week at Nightmare. I gave you a shot at the gold, and not
only did you not win the gold, but you came dead last out of all of
the men in the event! You are not what I was looking for, and so, to
be blunt, I don't want or need you in the Divine Intervention
anymore.
[Stoate turns away and Harley looks a little blank, as if he
doesn't know how to react. Suddenly, from either side, Sozzey and Mak
strike! Nailing Harley from either side and putting him down onto the
canvas before stamping away at him harshly. Stoate looks up, turned
away from the assault as he speaks.]
Stoate: This is what happens when you don't
live up to my potential. This is what Wrestling is all about. If you
don't live up to my expectations, then you will get nothing but the
scraps in this business. I am the General Manager, damn it.
JP: This is wrong. Even to that damn Sean
Harley this is wrong!
[Stoate still doesn't turn around as KRONIK deliver their
finishing move: "Playtime Ended" to Harley who hits the canvas hard,
seemingly out cold as Shalhoub claps them on from the corner. Stoate
stops talking and turns around as KRONIK drag Harley to his knees.
Stoate leans down to Harley and speaks into the microphone, right up
in his face.]
Stoate: Can you hear me, Sean? You weren't
good enough. You let me down once too many times and I'm not going to
stand for it. I am not here to put up with losers. I am not here to
put up with people who can't handle the big time. I am here to deal
with winners. And it looks like you lost once again, Sean.
[He'd pull back his hand before slamming it into the face of
Harley who's head is flung to the side with the impact. Harley lays
on the canvas as the Divine Intervention music hits.]
Sully: Oh God no! Dom Stoate has just struck
down Sean Harley...
JP: ...It's over..."Divine Intervention",
it's not a force anymore.
[Dom Stoate walks up the entrance ramp, "Kronik" behind him as he
smugly looks back the ring where Sean Harley is picking himself back
up...looking dazed and confused.]
Sully: Sean Harley's had one chance too many
and Dom Stoate's decided it's time for "Divine Intervention" to move
on.
JP: Just shows the level of compassion that
Dom Stoate has, NONE! He's just put Sean Harley out of action
INFENITELY!
Sully: Oh get over it JP, Dom Stoate's a
businessman and what you saw was simply business at work.
JP: The MWF was a better place before Stoate
arrived, now he thinks he's the greatest gift the company has ever
receieved...him and his cronies.
Sully: Sozzey and Mak are great wrestlers,
the MWF wouldn't be the same without "Divine Intervention".
JP: It has to be asked...what next for
"Divine Intervention", they need a new member.
Sully: NomaD would be a good prospect, he's
sailing the free seas at the moment after the "Untouchables", a sorry
excuse for a stable folded...he doesn't like "Twisted Vision" much
after Iniquity's comments enraged him.
JP: Yeah, NomaD wouldn't desert the
fans..
Sully:...NomaD's a volatile person, he could
do anything at any time.
JP: Perhaps, we'll have to see how it pans
out...one person that certainly isn't volatile is Troy Knight, the
MWF Television Champion and he's in action tonight defending his
title.
Sully: The MWF Television Championship, a
sought after prize, held by some great wrestlers...and Troy
Knight.
JP: You saying Troy Knight isn't a great
wrestler?
Sully: Didn't say that, I don't think he's
as good as most think he is and I think Troy knows that to.
JP: Troy is a great man, a real role
model.
Sully: Since when was a gay man with kids a
role model?
JP: You have to look past that Sully...stop
being so narrow minded.
Sully: I'll be as narrow minded as I like,
one my kids brought home one of those disgusting "Troy Bot" toys the
other day and I took it straight back.
JP: Why?
Sully: Because I do not want my children
corrupted by such...such....impure toys.
JP: The Ginga won't be playing with any toys
tonight that's for sure, he's won his chance at the MWF Television
Championship and he sure as hell is going to do his best to win that
belt, both these men are liked by the fans but in Troy's home state
the crowd will be rooting for Troy Knight.
Sully: I hope The Ginga wins this belt, not
that I like The Ginga, but it might shut Troy Knight up if someone
takes his gold away.
JP: Troy went a little quiet after being
beaten by Ace Spade at Nightmare, what a fantastic match that was,
it's shortlisted for match of the year at the awards on MWF.com so if
it was your favourite take a moment to vote for it.
Sully: Was it one of your favourite's JP?
Ace Spade is the referee tonight, he can really spoil this party for
Troy Knight.
JP: Yeah it was a great match, not sure if
it's my favourite...that honour is still being decided.
Sully: Oh great, are we going to get JP's
matches of the year 2003?
JP: No, it's just people listen to my
opinion.
Sully: Your opinion isn't as great as you
think it is, it's so blinded by Troy Knight that you think he's
great!
