versus

Enigma w/The Hobo

Singles Match

Referee: Chad Pattison

Writer: Dom Stoate

[After both men have made their entrances, they take the time to discuss things with their team mates that have taken the time and made the effort to escort them down to the ring for this match. The Hobo leans over the ropes as she stands on the ring apron, saying something to EniGma as he adjusted the tape that ran around his wrists. EniGma would nod as The Hobo spoke, apparently giving him instructions.]

Sully: Since when was The Hobo a tactician?

JP: I suppose spending so much time with Tempest has given him an eye for detail.

Sully: I bet they re not even talking about the match. I bet they re discussing something to do with pornography.

JP: I wouldn't t count on it. These two may act like clowns outside of the ring but I assure you, when they re in the ring they are deadly serious.

Sully: All of the seriousness in the world won t save you from the Stud, though!

JP: Are you serious? Stud is really struggling in the MWF. He's never really started to find his feet here and has hardly been successful. This should really be an easy win for the man that came within inches of winning the World title.

Sully: That's not fair. Stud has a bright future and-

JP: I'm not saying that he doesn't t have a future in the MWF, I'm just saying that as of late, he s really not been a big part of the MWF show, particularly after not having a part in Conflict. It's not all of his fault as there were some issues when it came to booking him matches in the past, but he has yet to show what he is capable of, and I think that s why EniGma should really be winning this one.

Sully: Well, maybe tonight is his night. Perhaps tonight is when he shows everyone just what he is capable of achieving.

JP: Maybe so, but EniGma is going to be wanting to win this one as there are rumours flying about that he and The Hobo are going away from the MWF on a
more permanent basis than their last vacation. I m not sure how much substance there is to these rumours, but never the less, he is going to be desperate to win this match.

[The match finally begins, but this is not until after both men start into the centre of the ring, eyeing each other up as if, as ever, scanning for potential weaknesses. EniGma glances back towards The Hobo after the bell rings and this gives Stud a shot. He takes the chance, lashing out with a hard chop to the unexpecting chest of EniGma. EniGma cries out, stumbling backwards. Stud takes the advantage and lands another hard chop, followed by another that leaves EniGma leaning against the ropes for support. A fourth chop comes in as Stud starts to get intense, slamming his hand across the reddened, bare chest of EniGma.]

Sully: See? He s an opportunist. He saw when EniGma was distracted and took advantage.

JP: EniGma showing some of the rookie attitude that has left him on the receiving ends of a few unnecessary defeats in his time in the MWF. Things have not changed in him and, I suppose, that's the way his fans like it.

Sully: I'll admit he's got a certain style that no one else has.

[EniGma finally turns the tables after a fifth chop doesn't t hit as cleanly as Stud had hoped. EniGma would block it for the most part before administering
a chop of his own, slamming his hand across the chest of Stud, sending him back across the ring. It only takes the one chop to get the young, blue-haired man out of trouble and on level grounds with Stud, who clutches his chest, shocked by the impact. EniGma and Stud stand, once again, face-to-face in the centre of the ring and it is EniGma who makes the first move this time, pulling back a fist before hammering it across the face of his opponent who stands quite a bit taller than himself.]

JP: EniGma putting such power behind those blows as he looks to counter attack the initial attack from Stud.

Sully: The thing about Stud is that he has so much potential that he is not reaching. He is an underachiever with such potential. He's a big man with a lot of guile and I will be extremely upset if I don't see more success from him in the future.

JP: He's got quite a fan base, too. He just lacks experience. Experience is something that EniGma does have. He s got experience from other federations as well as the MWF, but he s not one that ever seems to learn. He's always cocky and belligerent and I don't think that is anything that is going to change.

[Stud recoils as he is clapped across the face a second time but blocks the third one. Demonstrating the strength and endurance at his disposal, he'd grab onto the head of EniGma, pulling back his own before clashing their skulls together. EniGma almost immediately hits the deck, clutching to his skull. Stud glances about the arena, trying to get his bearings, bleary eyes portraying just how stunned that shot had left him.]

JP: And both men are down after that tremendous clashing of heads there.

[Eventually, the young man has to lean on the ropes for support, allowing EniGma, with the help of the ropes besides him, starts to stand, palm pressed against the upper third of his face. Stud manages to get to his feet first properly and heads towards EniGma, grabbing onto his shoulders as he remains leaned down before seizing him by the back of the neck. EniGma doubles up and Stud takes advantage; hauling him up onto his shoulders in the perfect position to hit him with some kind of power bomb. EniGma counters it, though, bringing his leg to one side of the large man's head and sliding down off his back. He uses his remarkable speed to come off the ropes and jump forwards, hitting a two-footed drop kick against the small of the big man s back. Stud stumbles forwards and hits the canvas hard. EniGma skitters over and hauls him onto his back, hooking the leg for the cover...1... 2..Stud gets the shoulder up.]

Sully: I imagine that EniGma was just looking to take advantage of Stud being stunned there, as he couldn't t honestly believe that a dropkick to his back would keep him down, surely.

JP: I think he was counting on doing enough damage to his back to make kicking out a difficulty.

[It was no real difficulty. Once he'd regained his senses, he'd managed to throw EniGma well clear of him and had picked himself up, not finding it particularly difficult to do so. EniGma tried to pile on the attacks, but found that Stud s fight back was just too strong. He is thrown off by an outstretched palm of the sitting Stud and this gives the big man plenty of time to find his feet. Stud lands the next hit, thundering a fist across the face of EniGma, sending him straight to the mat, crying out both as he is hit and as he hits the mat. Stud scrambles over, going for the cover....1.... 2 EniGma gets the shoulder up. Stud kneels up, shaking his head slightly before standing up. He'd drag EniGma with him, holding him in position as if looking for a Powerbomb or something. He doesn't t get the chance as EniGma fidgets and shoves the big man backwards, and straight into the referee, knocking him down onto his back and out of the ring. The Hobo instantly takes advantage. He'd duck under the ropes of the ring, darting towards Stud and, without needing a second chance, hitting the Bo Job! Stud hits the canvas hard and EniGma would roll over, getting the cover. The fans don t seem to mind and even start to cheer The Hobo who rolls out of the ring, shoving the referee up and onto the apron before rolling him into the centre.]

JP: What a shot! The Bo Job!

Sully: Cheat! Cheat!

JP: The fans don t mind and this one looks to be over!

[The referee slowly rouses himself and starts to make the count....1...2...3! The Hobo slides into the ring after pounding his hand onto the canvas with the count. EniGma stands up, a big smile on his face as he raises his arms, embraced by his smelly friend The Hobo. They cheer loudly as EniGma records his win and Stud is resigned to another defeat.]

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall, Engima!
