MWF Tag Team Champion; Tempest

Versus

Sean Harley

Singles Match

Writer: Paddy Stoate.

JP: Here we go with the fourth match of the night, Sean Harley versus Tempest!

Sully: I think Tempest has it covered. Sean Harley has just come back, and he expects people to respect him. Pah!

JP: Sean Harley is, whether you like him or not, a phenomenal athlete!

Sully: And Tempest isnt?

[There is no answer from JP, as, just in time, it would seem, Firefly by Breaking Benjamin hits, and Sean Harley steps out. He receives a mixed welcome, as, although he is a heel, he is more well liked than Tempest.]

Peter Santos: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Chelmsford, England, weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds, the Phoenix, SeeeaaannnHarley!

[He is still booed, but not as loudly as one might expect for the renowned heel. He slides into the ring and tests the ropes, as his music is replaced by Hearts Filthy Lesson, by David Bowie. The fans go wild with rage at this, and actually seem angry at Tempest for just being there.]

Peter Santos: And his opponent, from Boston, Mass, weighing in at two hundred and fifty four poundsTempest!

[Most of his words are actually drowned out by the ferocity of the boos, and the emerging Tempest looks a little surprised at the reaction. He quickly readies himself, however, and heads to the ring looking confident.]

JP: Well Sully, Tempest has as usual been very busy preparing, how do you think someone can prepare for a match with Sean Harley?

Sully: Well, I guess you just try to get ready for some mat wrestling, and try to memorise as many reversals as possible. Tempest doesnt need to though.

JP: Oh no? And whys that?

Sully: Because hes got them all up here! He probably reads the Dictionary of Wrestling from cover to cover every night when he goes to bed, if he even does go to bed, what with all the good work he does.

JP: Good work? Like what?

Sully: I dont know, donating plasma? Giving to charities? Why not ask the man himself?

JP: I dunno, I dont think Id get an accurate response.

Sully: What?!

[The bell rings, and Tempest and Harley prepare to lock up. They dance around the ring for a few seconds, before locking up in a collar-elbow tieup. Harley gets the upper hand, powerfully pushing Tempest away and sending him tumbling into the corner on his behind. This prompts massive cheers from the crowd, and Harley flexes his arms as he waits for Tempest to stand up. He does after a little bit of shocked staring, and they lock up again. However, this time Tempest does the same to Harley, shoving him backwards onto his back. Harley quickly ends up on his knees, with Tempest glaring at him and the fans booing.]

JP: Both wrestlers showing their disrespect here.

[Harley gets up and circles the ring opposite Tempest for a bit, and then, to the cheers of the fans, goes in for the tieup. However, the cheers quickly turn to boos when Tempest lands a stiff kick to the midsection that takes Harley down, then begins to stomp on his back. Harley tries to crawl to the ropes, but Tempest grabs his leg and begins to stomp on it, while making sure it stays on the mat. This produces cries of agony from Harley. Tempest, hearing the cries, now attacks the leg savagely, stomping on it as hard as he can, until the referee yells at him to stop it. He backs off, a look of innocence on his face, while Harley heads for the ropes, grabbing the middle one and trying to pull himself up. He is soon on his feet, albeit shakily, and testing his leg gingerly. He finds it okay, and runs at Tempest, who had his back turned and was speaking to the referee. Tempest is taken down with a Clothesline to the back of the head, and he rolls out of the ring for safety. However, Harley follows, and grabs Tempest by the head. Disregarding the referees warnings, Harley runs, still holding Tempests head, and slams it into the turnbuckle. Tempest hits it hard, and falls backwards onto the cold concrete floor. Harley basks in the reasonable cheers of the fans, before picking up Tempest and rolling him into the ring and covering. 12Tempest gets the shoulder up. ]

Sully: Go Tempest!

JP: Harley is on top right now!

[Sean stands up, not looking best pleased. He looks down at Tempest, who is holding his head, and then looks at the turnbuckle. Grinning, he grabs Tempests head again and walks him over to the turnbuckle. He then sits Tempest on the top turnbuckle and signals to the fans, who give him a good pop. ]

JP: Uh-oh! This does not look good for Tempest!

Sully: Whats he gonna do?

[Harley now stands up with Tempest on the top rope, and hooks his arm over his head. With a quick thumbs-up to the fans, he dives backwards, landing a massive Superplex!]

 Sully: Not a Superplex!

 JP: Yes, a Superplex!

[Both men are down, Harley having bounced from his back to his stomach. He very slowly crawls towards Tempest, who is motionless. He lays an arm over him, and the referee counts, 12Tempest kicks out!]

Sully: Yes!

[Harley slowly sits on his knees, looking extremely frustrated. He licks his lips and stares at Tempest, who is holding his back and moaning. With a deft little flick of the knees, Harley is standing up, and heading for the turnbuckle again, Tempest-less this time. He climbs up, to the cheers of the fans. Having reached the top, Harley stops, and takes a deep breath. He then stands up, facing the fans, and, with a powerful leap, jumps backwards and does a backflip. He finishes this with a Legdrop, landing the ]

JP: Crash and Burn! No!

[The No! is because, as he landed, Sean Harley hit only the mat! Tempest had moved just in time, causing Harley to land on his backside. Harley stands up quickly on the bounce, only to turn and be met with an Epicentre!]

JP: The Epicentre! Its over!

[However, Tempest does not have the energy to make the cover. He falls backwards after having executed the move, and rolls away to the ropes. ]

JP: Tempest lands the Epicentre, but cannot make the pin!

[Tempest is moving, however, very, very slowly crawling toward Harley. He places a hand on Harleys heaving body, but, instead of making the cover, simply uses Harley as an aid for standing up.]

JP: What the hell is he doing? Why doesnt he just cover him?

Sully: Hes smarter than that, JP!

[Tempest pulls Harley to his feet and, with The Phoenix groggy, he grabs his head, and lands the Epicentre again!]

JP: Oh my! Another Epicentre! Hes gotta be out of it!

[Tempest looks satisfied now, and, with Harley down, raises his arms. He then rolls Harley onto his front and grabs his head once again. He pulls it back, and sits down, locking in the Basic Agony!]

Sully: Basic Agony! Its all over! The most painful submission move in wrestling today!

JP: That is a hideous move!

[It does not take long before Harley taps out, and referee Chad Pattison gives the signal for the bell to be rung. Tempest does not release the hold, however, and the bell has to ring several times before he will let go. His music plays, ad he stands up, raising his arms to the sky.]

Peter Santos: Here is your winner, via submission, Tempest!

JP: Well, Tempest with a, uh, convincing victory over Sean Harley.

Sully: Tempest was always gonna win!

JP: He certainly did make sure of his victory in the endWell, I think its time for a commercial folks, but well be right back!
