MWF Television Champion: "Rat Bastard" Gutter Rat
w./MWF CEO Edward Walker
versus
The Grudge w/MWF President Insane Wayne
Non - Title Singles Match
Referee: Grant August
Writer: Ed Walker
JP: This is going to be a match and a half, I can't
wait to see how this will go down.
Sully: It's about far more than just The Grudge and
Gutter Rat tonight, they have the two most important men in the MWF in their
respective corners.
JP: Gutter Rat's going to rip a hole in The Grudge.
He's competing in the pre-Mind Games show in WEW and he's going to want to keep
momentum going into that following his victory over Exodus.
Sully: The Grudge is ready and prepared, he absolutely
destroyed Gunman Stinger at Nightmare and he'll do it all over again against
Gutter Rat.
JP: Walker won't be worried by The Grudge. He is a
former UWF World Champion but Gutter Rat's the current MWF Television Champion
and that means far more.
Sully: I'm not sure, Wayne and Grudge go back a long
way. Can Gutter Rat and Walker really trust each other?
[The fans are on their feet cheering and waving at the
camera as it angles around the arena and Gutter Rat posters are thrust forward
into view. Peter Santos stands in the centre of the ring and the crowd slowly
fall silent as Santos raises the mic to his lips.]
Peter Santos: Ladies and gentleman, this match is
scheduled for one fall and is a non-title match.
[The fans applaud the announcement as Santos
continues.]
Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 275
lbs., from The Alleys of Guttersville, accompanied by the MWF CEO Edward Walker,
he is the MWF Television Champion, "Rat Bastard" Gutter Rat!
["More Human Than Human" hits the PA system and the
crowd roar as Gutter Rat walks out through a cloud of red smoke...he can be seen
snarling behind his mask as he walks down the entrance ramp. The MWF CEO walks
behind him, dressed in a smart suit, shaking hands with fans as he follows
Gutter Rat down the entrance ramp.]
JP: These two men mean business.
Sully: Yeah, Gutter Rat's not a corporate puppy and
he's going to pay for it tonight.
JP: And The Grudge isn't?
[Gutter Rat reaches the ring, he slides into it and
walks to the turnbuckle. He climbs it and raises his arms above his masked face,
the crowd respond with cheers as Gutter Rat looks out across the crowd.]
Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 235
lbs., accompanied by the MWF President Insane Wayne, The Grudge!
["DEEP" by Nine Inch Nails hits the PA system and the
crowd jeer loudly as The Grudge's face is displayed on the MaxiTron....Grudge's
face moves to the side and President Wayne's smiling face is shown....they both
can be heard laughing over the PA system as they appear. The MWF President
places a hand on Grudge's shoulder and raises his other arm, as he does
fireworks explode from the four turnbuckles in the ring. Gutter Rat looks around
in confusion as the four turnbuckles shoot pyro...Walker leaps back in shock.]
JP: Wayne has no apparent regard for the safety of
other wrestlers or staff.
Sully: That was pretty cool, Gutter Rat looked a little
shocked there.
JP: Wouldn't you be if the ring suddenly started
exploding from the turnbuckles?
Sully: Nah, I'd be as cool as I usually am.
[The MWF President and his charge, The Grudge, make
their way down the entrance ramp as the referee, Grant August, checks Gutter Rat
for any weapons. The Grudge reaches the ring and he climbs up and over the ropes
and makes his way straight over to where Gutter Rat is standing, he eyeballs
Gutter Rat and shouts in his face. Gutter Rat turns away and The Grudge
laughs...until Gutter Rat whirls round and lands a right hand into The Grudge's
smirking face. The crowd roar as Gutter Rat unloads against The Grudge, right
hands forcing The Grudge to stagger back across the ring. The bell sounds as the
two men go at it, President Wayne takes a stand on the opposite side of the ring
apron to Walker as they watch on.]
JP: Gutter Rat isn't going to take any abuse from an
upstart like The Grudge.
Sully: He started before the bell had even been rung!
[Walker applauds as Gutter Rat forces The Grudge back
into the turnbuckle and he hammers away with the right hand...an elbow to the
stomach has The Grudge doubled up and Gutter Rat brings his right knee up and
slams it into the face of The Grudge. He attempts to stumble forwards holding
his face but Gutter Rat pushes him back against the turnbuckle and the crowd
roar as Gutter Rat chops The Grudge across the chest....the chest of The Grudge
glows red as Gutter Rat chops again. Gutter Rat grabs The Grudge and hoists him
up and lays him out with a suplex. Grant August is called into action as Gutter
Rat goes for a cover ....1....2! The Grudge manages to roll the shoulder. He
looks over at the MWF President who looks a little worried.]
JP: Wayne can't be happy with this start from The
Grudge, he's not been doing well at all...overpowered by the "Rat Bastard".
Sully: President Wayne will be concerned but a wrestler
with Grudge's experience will turn this match around. If he doesn't then it's
going to be an easy victory for Gutter Rat.
JP: Gutter Rat's wanting the momentum ahead of his
clash with the WEW stars.
Sully: $10,000 will be on the head of Gutter Rat, mind
you he's used to being a target!
[Gutter Rat pulls The Grudge to his feet and the crowd
jeer as The Grudge rams his head into the mid section of Gutter Rat and grabs
the arm of Gutter Rat and irish whips him into the ropes. Gutter Rat comes back
and The Grudge knocks him down with a forearm to the neck. Gutter Rat stays down
before rolling over and getting to his feet...he looks for a punch, but the
crowd jeer as Grudge grabs the hand of Gutter Rat, spins him round and hits a
tiger driver. The move has Gutter Rat laid out and The Grudge goes to the
turnbuckle.]
JP: Now it's The Grudge's turn to build momentum and
he's doing it well.
Sully: President Wayne will be a lot happier now. It
was just a matter of time before he could get going.
JP: Walker will be starting to sweat, the last thing he
wants is his star man to lose and not go into the WEW match full of confidence.
Sully: I'm sure Gutter Rat can beat a few WEW rookies,
but The Grudge is no rookie and I think Gutter Rat's underestimated his ability.
[The Grudge is climbing the turnbuckle...Walker watches
on and edges round to where The Grudge is climbing. The MWF President is alert
and walks round, he calls for Walker to step back. The MWF CEO raises his hands
and backs away from near the area. The Grudge reaches the top...he adjusts his
balance and then the crowd jeer as he leaps off. The Grudge lands a leg drop
across the neck of Gutter Rat and the "Rat Bastard" screams with pain...The
Grudge rolls over and hooks the leg of Gutter Rat ...1...2! Grant August signals
the two count and The Grudge drags Gutter Rat to his feet.]
JP: Good agility from The Grudge there...he's
showcasing his ability tonight.
Sully: No better place to do it. You're in front of
about fifteen thousand people and you've got the two most senior management
figures at ringside!
[Gutter Rat and The Grudge are on their feet, The
Grudge has Gutter Rat in a headlock but the crowd roar as Gutter Rat fights out
of it and executes a backdrop. The Grudge is flat out on the mat as Gutter Rat
climbs atop of him and grabs his head...the crowd roar as the right hand of
Gutter Rat starts to pump and The Grudge's face becomes a human punch bag. The
Grudge attempts to roll free but Gutter Rat has him pinned down and the right
hand rises and falls...Walker applauds at ringside. The MWF President climbs up
onto the ring apron and shouts over to Grant August...the referee walks over and
as he does The Grudge rakes the eyes of Gutter Rat...poking his fingers through
the eye slits in the mask. Grant August is arguing with President Wayne. The
crowd roar as the MWF CEO comes storming around the side of the ring...he grabs
President Wayne by the back of his blazer.]
JP: Whoa! This is going to be a heated exchange, the
top two men in the company are about to go head to head.
Sully: Walker doesn't look happy at all. Wayne was
quite right to complain though...Gutter Rat was not meant to hold Grudge down
for that long.
JP: There's nothing to say he couldn't.
Sully: It's called a rule book!
[Wayne is pulled down from the ring apron and Walker
roars in his face... Grant August turns back round to see The Grudge executing
The Grudge Ender on Gutter Rat! The crowd jeer...but as The Grudge goes for the
move, Gutter Rat reverses and sends The Grudge flying back over his head in a
back body drop. While Wayne and Walker argue at ringside the "Rat Bastard"
stumbles away and crouches down. He makes a signal and the crowd start to buzz
with excitement...as The Grudge holds his back and rolls over, Gutter Rat
prepares.]
JP: This is it! It's going to be all over for The
Grudge.
Sully: I can't look...
[The Grudge slowly gets to his feet and Gutter Rat
starts to run...The Grudge turns round and the crowd explode as he's hit with
the Proverbial Train Wreck! Gutter Rat slams The Grudge onto the canvas and
hooks the leg as Grant August counts ...1...2...3! The bell sounds and President
Wayne looks angered as Walker moves away from Wayne laughing. The MWF CEO climbs
into the ring and Gutter Rat stands...taking the hand of Walker and the referee,
Grant August, and the MWF CEO hold up the arms of the MWF Television Champion.]
Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall,
Gutter Rat!
JP: That's an important win considering that the WEW
match is not far away...he needs to keep the momentum going and take it into
that match.
Sully: The bounty on Gutter Rat's head might just be
raised after the strength of that performance.
JP: The Grudge will not be happy at all, the MWF
President looks furious.
Sully: They're going to need to regroup and see if they
can break Walker and Gutter Rat's alliance another way.
JP: Gutter Rat looks pretty unbeatable at the moment.
Sully: For now let's take a break.
