This time last year, the last thing I was thinking about was getting pregnant. I had the usual bills to pay, work was busy and my life felt like one big ball of stress.

So what has changed? as my best friend put it.
I have started to organize my finances. I sorted out the factors that were causing me stress. Not to say that I do not ever get stressed now, but back then, it was all the time. Since I have sorted out the stress, work seems more manageable.

Other contributing factors
I moved back near to my mum and my best friend. I had moved out to Southend-on-Sea , but the travelling, along with the stress of owning a home, was too much. Now I am back in London , I can pop over the road to see my mum. Or ask my friend out at the last minute.

Now for the naughty bit, concentrate
Sorting out my stress meant my sex life improved!! I was enjoying it and having lots of it. Along with it came this sudden awareness of every pregnant woman and every baby, as well as my lovely niece. I did not know it yet, but I had made an unconscious decision to become a mother.

Making the choice
Me and my husband talked about children. We decided we would go ahead next year. So I came off my pill and started to us a diaphragm. Then shortly, one day in November, we made love without the diaphragm and afterwards said, let's have children.

The story so far
It is now December and my period is due next week. I have started using pregnancy tests and OPK's like a crazy lady. I have found so much useful information and support on the internet, that I have decided to make a website.
