| Here, my friends, you will find my previous postings. I hope you take the time to read what I have said in the past and I hope you like what you read. My intentions is to keep you informed about what I am doing in MMA and if you would like my opinion on a particulat Mixed Martial Arts event please let me know via e-mail by contacting the webmaster at: [email protected] -- Travis "The Gladiator" Galbraith |
I have achieved one of my goals in Mixed-Martial Arts, and that is: CANADIAN LIGHT-WEIGHT CHAMPION. I must thank, firts of all, my family, coaches, sparring partners, friends, sponsors, The King Of The Cage, and of course you the fans; for without the support of the above mentioned none of this would have happened and I share this vitory with one and all. I prepared deligently for this fight knowing that the other warrior, Ricardeau Francois, would be in good physical condition as well. With a persistent and an indefatigable thirst for victory I prepared with my coach Kyle Cardinal, along with other experts in the fields of boxing and jiu-jitsu, towards achieving victory and giving you the fans a spectacle you will not soon forget. Helping me as well were pupils from my training MMA class...I begun training months ago and developing my game plan for this fight as the event drew near, my confidence was high, my abilities sharpened thanks to long hours at the gym and on the mat. Never forget friends that when these factors are combined victory knows it has a conqueror
Well my friends, I have defeated Chris Peak and I am grateful for the opportunity that was presented to me in my hometown of Prince George; I even entered the cage wearing a gladiator helmet! I thank all my fans and friends who recieved me with such warmth. It was an experience that i shall never forget and I would personally like to thank the King Of The Cage Canada for taking their event to British Columbia and I assure you that fighters and fight fans alike will always be welcome there.
I was supposed to fight on the 11th of February but unfortunately the fight was cancelled through no fault of my own. Now I am busy preparing for my next fight and for that I must travel away from the city of Edmonton, which I will periodically visit, for a few weeks. Being away from family and friends, and of course my MMA students, will be difficult but this is something that must be done in order for me to further my progress and become an even stronger GLADIATOR." -- Travis "The Gladiator" Galbraith
