This is a picture of Choeng Mon Beach on Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand.
		Here is a picture of the two boys walking between the huts of the place where we stayed.
		The greatest fun for me was playing on the beach with Maxim. We would dig a hole in the sand and he would immediately plop himself into the middle of it.

I used a wall to protect the young man from massive waves coming up an drenching him.


	As the tide went out, we used a hole further out as a reservoir that collected new water that we used to fill up the current hole.

These are pictures of our entire construction site for the afternoon, littered with pieces of equipment. The holes are connected by canals. After a few hours, the returning tide swallowed our work and the next day, no evidence could be found.

Maxim also enjoyed trying to stab the tiny crabs that scurried into their holes as we walked across the sand.
