This is Timerlik Canyon. It's
a 3.5 hour drive from Almaty. Maxim's dad went there one day to scope
out the place for a potential staff outing.

As you
can see, these guys are not too proud to show off their weaknesses.
The day was perfect and the sky
was beautiful. We found limitless comfort at a campsite under the
trees along the Timerlik River. I caught some tadpoles for Maxim's mother's
class to observe. On the way home, we had some delightful lagman at a
soon-to-be hopping tourist den in Kokpek, where we enjoyed a mid-day show by
the Kokpek Cookies.
