| Part 13 |
| Max sighed and ran his fingers thru his hair. *Will this night never end* he thought heavily. "Uncle Jesse and Aunt Isabel had an argument. Maybe someday when your older I'll tell you what it was about but right now your too young. But Aunt Isabel might be staying with us for awhile so that means that you'll have to bunk with Alex2 for the time being. Is that okay? Can you deal with it?" "Yeah Dad, it's fine. I'll have fun. Um.... is Aunt Izzy gonna be okay?" Max smiled at his eldest son. How proud he was of him. Always kind and gentle even though he had momentary lapses like every other kid in the world. He motioned for him to come sit next to him. He put his arm around him and replied. "She's gonna be fine. As long as you're there for her." Max hugged him. The Evan's family was always a very openly affectionate household. Hugs and kisses were always exchanged every day. So the hug wasn't a big deal. //Is he okay Max?// came Liz's sweet voice in his head. //He's fine honey...... Have I told you how much I love you for giving me such an amazing son?// Max sent back. //Every day Max. I love you.// //Love you Liz.// Max sent Liz a mental smile and he could feel Liz's happiness like it was his own or maybe it was his? He could never tell the two apart these days. "I'm gonna go to bed Dad okay?" came Zan's voice bringing Max's attention back to where he was. "Uh yeah okay, 'night little man." Max used the nickname he had taken to calling him when he was a baby. Zan sent him a knowing grin, he knew about his parents ability to communicate mentally and he was used to his Dad spacing out when he was talking to Liz. Max smiled sheepishly and ruffled Zan's hair. He knew that his son knew that he was talking to Liz. Zan stood up said "Goodnight." and walked upstairs. 20 minutes later Liz came down the stairs. "Everybody's in bed." Liz said tiredly and planted herself in Max's lap. "Everybody except Claudia that is." Max reminded her. "Oh I forgot to tell you she called. She's going to stay over Jill's house tonight and then they're going to go to the carnival tommorow." Liz told her husband hurriedly. "Liz...." Max frowned. "Max, don't start." Liz said annoyed. She jumped of his lap and went into the kitchen. Max followed. |
