oh wow. Its been awhile...but I'm updating to tell u that the new album is nearly complete. Its dark as shit (literally) and we're so proud of it. We wrote this album, not for anyone, but for us. 11/11/04 I can't believe how late in the year it is! This year has truly gone by faster than any other . It still seems like yesterday Aaron and I were getting wasted in Dekalb for New Years! Anyways, Aaron and I met and recorded "Can Autumn..." last Saturday and we're planning to record a couple more songs during my thanksgiving break! These are going to be controversial political songs... my reactions to the recent U.S. election. Furthermore, this album is gonna have something our last album didn't... a parental advisory warning... i have a potty mouth! Well, I have a 12 page paper due tomorrow that I haven't started yet...and its 9:30 at night. whoops! thanks for stopping by. 11/02/04 If anyone cares, the U.S. presidential election is tomorrow...*gulp*... anyways, aaron and I are set to record the last batch of new songs for the album...they have no names yet, really...but i'll make em up now "can autumn..." and 2 other songs. Sorry its comin out so late... if aaron and I were able to jam together everyday we'd pry have 2 new albums out by now! Give us about a month and it should be totally done!

Also, we are very sorry that the new album keeps getting pushed back, but now that we have the mixing programs up and working things should go much smoother. 08/14/04 All packed up and ready to go... At 6:00 a.m. this morning Mature Addiction will be driving to Springfield, Missouri to record a large portion of their upcoming album "Liquor and Loveseats"! Mature Addiction will be staying for a week in the "show me state" before heading home to finish the recording process in Dixon,IL. The new Cd has been the hardest to write and record thusfar because it is much more intricate than the past 2 albums, to go along with the fact that Jeff and Aaron are getting a nitpicky with every word written and chord played. It is sure to be a treat. Liquor and Loveseats will probably be coming out late September for your listening pleasure!

Aaron was in a motorcycle accident (pics soon) and is having trouble w/ the left side of his body... simply put.. his fret hand is hurt. He should have a speedy recovery in time for a recording trip that promises to be the best album ever. 03/25/04 Hello website visitors. Sorry that its been awhile, but the band is still in the forefront of my mind. First off we're really excited so far as we have written around 11 new songs. We are a bit behind schedule, but we're not rushing anything because we want this album to be perfect. It still will probably be coming out late summer! Anyways, if you don't have "self titled" yet you should buy it cuz we need money for new recording equipment! Other than that, life is good, and so is music.

03/09/04 Sorry that I haven't updated in a couple days, but things have been hectic! Aaron and I jammed our faces off this week and did a rough recording of 9 new songs! We're very proud of all of them so far. I will be posting snippets soon, but pry not till after this weekend. 02/29/04 Happy leap day! Well I have some important news... Wednesday, THursday, and Friday will officially be Mature Addiction recording days so it'll be good. We have so many new songs written, now its time to start putting everything together for a new album! Happy Monday...time to start the grind all over again. Lets do a lil weekend recap... Friday I went and saw O.A.R. at NIU and it was good! Shout out to Amy who puked at the concert and passed out in the stall! Secondly, Aaron and I got Metallica tickets for May 2nd so we will officially be able to die happy as of May 3rd! Last but not least I was able to chill at home which was good. Oh yeah, Aaron, Doug, and I jammed together on THursday and we had a good time. 02/02/04 Happy Feburary! It just so happens that the Super Bowl was awesome last night even though the team I wanted to win didn't. Oh well it was a good game at least! As it turns out, Aaron and I jammed heavily this weekend and made a couple new songs! THis album is shaping out very interesting because it seems to be making a certain statement usually heard on punk records, but not normally heard in the acoustic rock genre. 12/16/03 Hello faithful website followers its Jeff again with a small update. After months of writing and collaborating Mature Addiction will once again be recording over the span of the next 5 months for their 3rd release. As witnessed by many of you, the success of Self Titled is still what the band is riding on, but it is time to start jamming more. The fourth cds name will not be released quite yet, but snippets of info will be linked from here on out. Also, "friends w/ benefits" will be loaded on to soundclick shortly...thanks for all your support so far and the continued future support. (one new live pic added)

12/2/03 First off happy 21st birthday to Aaron Kingham tomorrow, he will bar hopping and living it up. So everyone cheer for him! Second of all we did play in Mundelein 2 Friday nights ago and we had a good time. Of course there were a few screw ups do to nervousness, etc. But it was ok. Sorry for the lack of updates lately I've been a busy pup. check back here often again cuz I'll be keeping up on stuff ...I promise!

09/02/03 Well, apparently the update I made for the site last night didn't work. Which sucks, but hey...its all good! I just wanna say that I'm up at Augie right now having the time of my life and I'm sooo happy to be back. I have a heavy work load and a lot of classes, but that doesn't keep me and Aaron from jamming! Just to let you know, We've sold over 70 cds and probably given out even more.
