Slovak is a Slavic language, related to Russian, Czech and many other central/eastern European languages. It is written using the Latin alphabet with some exceptions, and some letters have accent marks. These accented letters are considered to be separate letters so they are always included as part of the alphabet. The alphabet is as follows.
