Polish is a Slavic language, related to Russian, Czech and many other central/eastern European languages. It is written using the Latin alphabet with some exceptions, and some letters have accent marks. These accented letters are considered to be separate letters so they are always included as part of the alphabet. The alphabet is as follows.

NOTE (1): q, x and v are not really in the Polish alphabet but, with Poland these days being much more a part of the international community, these three other letters are used quite a lot in foreign words and advertising.
NOTE (2): When pronouncing words, the stress should always fall on the syllable before the last. e.g. "przeprasham".
