Hungarian Language

Why do I have Hungarian here? Well, I like strange languages, and Hungarian is certainly that. Maybe it's more that I like to show off with all the scattered words and phrases I know in weird languages... But whatever it is, Hungarian really fascinates me. It is not a Slavic language - like Russian, Polish or Bulgarian - and is not strongly related to any languages spoken in Europe, except it is a sort of "cousin" of Finnish, and Finnish is not (like many people would think) a North Germanic language like Swedish or Danish. And more surprisingly, the Magyar people, the people who first founded Hungary in about 1000 AD, originally came from Central Asia somewhere, which just shows how much different peoples moved about in the past.
